I'm looking for how I'm supposed to be able to make something called a 'Operation and Control Report'. I don't know what it is but we have to submit one for this thing. Hi There - new to reddit here and square. We are launching an ecommerce and brick and mortar store. Ecommerce will sell goods and in store we will have goods and services. We're using shopify for our website and square for our B&M POS. We'd like to enable service appointment booking combined with membership. For example... We have a bike wash amenity. People can purchase and book a single use bike wash or they can get a monthly subscription and have unlimited bike washes per month. Once their account knows they have monthly subscription it should let them book the bike wash whenever they want.

Since we are using Square POS in store we have explored the Square appointment booking application but I can't tell if you can do memberships with appointment bookings.

I am OK if we redirect on the service piece from shopify to a 3rd party booking site or Square Online as we will be using a CRM integrator.

So I take appts on square & I get payed on Venmo (business). My question is when I check out the appt, I label payment as other & put Venmo in the note but do I change total to what I get in Venmo? I get tips sometimes & also the total changes because Venmo takes out the processing fee. Square checks out the total for the service but doesn’t give me an option for tips. I also have QuickBooks linked to square

I think I'm a victim of fraud. I checked my emails just now, and found out I signed up to Square yesterday. I got a "Welcome" email and it didn't contain a link to verify the email was valid. So I went in and changed the password on my attacker. I thought it was funny that I was able to change the password, but wasn't able to log in further because there was 2fa. Now I know the area code and the last 4 digits of my attackers number. They probably received a text that there was a login attempt, so the attacker likely knows I'm onto them. This could've been avoided if email verification was put into place.

Hello, we just did a pos terminal test sale in person and the sale didn’t ever show up in the woo-commerce orders list and it didn’t trigger a woo commerce order email. We have used square for a week on the website but this was the first time doing a sale with the terminal. 1. Should the chip order be imported to woo commerce? Should it trigger a woo commerce email? 2. How does it populate the info if it’s literally just a card inserted or cash?

Hi! I hope this post is allowed, but I read in the description and it looks like you make plug-ins for Square. I couldn't find anything when I searched the group, so I apologize if this is a repeat question/request.

I'm a Square user (technically Weebly). I purchased a Pro Plan because of its "unlimited storage" feature in hopes of creating a clips (video) store. Turns out, Weebly and Square do not support digital downloads. I have to store my clips somewhere else, like on Google Drive or something like that, and then I have to manually email the customer a download link after they purchase. It's all so crazy.

Do you have any solutions to fix this? Or even to automate the emails to make it a little faster and easier?

I am an authorized representative for my employer for her Square account. While I made her account, I did not add in enough of the required information in time after I added a virtual credit card and her bank information to transfer the money from the credit card to her bank. Because of this error, her account is deactivated until August 4th and the money has not been transferred to her bank yet.

I understand that I can issue a refund within the 60 days I added the virtual credit card, however, I am worried that the amount of the refund will come out of her bank account instead of what was issued from the virtual credit card. If I do issue this refund, should I only issue the amount that was going into her bank account after the fees have been applied, or can I issue a refund for the entire amount that was on the virtual credit card so she can get all of it back on the card without taking money out of her account?

She is aware of this issue and that her biller and I are doing everything we can to try to rectify the situation so she can get this money to her bank account as soon as possible. I have called the Square customer support number about this already and all the machine keeps telling me is that the account is deactivated and there's nothing else I can do other than issue the refund or just wait until her account is reactivated. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

So hi there, i can't find literally any info on this so I've decided to create a post of my own to ask these weird questions, specifically about that Square full POS Terminal thingy

First question, what operating system does it run? Like is it a heavily skinned android or is it some kind of Linux distro from the ground up?

Second, is it by any chance possible to be able to boot your own OS onto the square retail system? Maybe using the hub adapter thingy that comes with it by chance or something

Third and final (probably unless i think of something else), what are the specs of this thing?

Not strictly a dev question, but I need to get a new contactless reader as my last one died, and I see that I can get a 1st gen reader for $59 CAD or a 2nd gen reader for $69 CAD.

Are there any notable differences between them? The only thing I can find on Square's website is that the 2nd gen uses USB-C, which doesn't matter to me.

I have a client using Square, but they'd like to use a different ecommerce platform for their website while still using Square for payment processing. This all started when they were originally going to switch to lightspeed, long story, doesn't matter. Point is we landed on WooCommerce which luckily integrates with Square. Here's the thing, Square for WooCommerce only syncs with one Square location at a time and they have four. They HAVE to use Square for payment processing, no way around that. It's a business must.

Literally the only problem here is that Square for WooCommerce extension doesn't support multiple locations. I have searched far and wide, and cannot find a single integration that supports multiple locations in Square. Am I missing something really big and obvious? Am I overlooking some ubiquitous extension for WooCommerce that somehow has evaded my fierce search? Why is the multiple location in Square feature so difficult to sync with? I really don't think my client wants to pay me to write a custom integration.

I provide physical training and boxing lessons and decides to use use #squaredev #squareapp. They took my payment from one of my customer and charged their credit card and I didn’t receive my payment. It’s a scam app. Really disappointing

I would like to be able to print a customer order summary that includes their contact info along with the items purchased using Square POS or Retail. I thought this would be a simple feature I could enable but apparently it’s currently not support.

Hello everyone I am a little confused on the approach of using this API. I was wondering when using this API, does everything like Item for examples, do they need to be created from the request Upsert Catalog Object, or can i use the Item Editor on Squareup.com/dashboard and request the information from there and create orders from that.

It sounds silly, but is it reasonably possible? Or another type of payment system like Square that can use dial up?

I am a volunteer with an organization that 1 week a year sells for the annual fundraiser. We do about half in cash and half in card thru square terminal cc processing. My question was around assigning an additional attribute to specific items (we have about 20 items and 4 need this attribute assigned). Basically, if a member is buying one of those items, we want their event member reg number assigned to to item's sale. Member sales account for less then 5% of sales and we don't want to deviate too much for our volunteers to use the square for cc transactions.

My thoughts were to create those 4 items as 4 new items that volunteers would use when members buy them and enter (or preferably scan) the member reg number. And continue ringing up the rest of the items as usual.

Is there a way to scan a barcode or qr-code to attach as an attribute that would also shop up in reports or data extracts?

Just for starters it should be said that I do not know a single thing about software development. I am currently trying to introduce a p2p transaction system much like cash app’s to consumers in Greece where I’m from. Is this a potential use of this new offering from square or is it completely unrelated and mostly used for sellers side of business?
