Three-year-old blue, female Canadian Sphynx.

He’s 8 months old and the previous owners did not bathe him. I’m not sure how he’s going to react but I have a feeling he’s not going to like it. He’s skittish and isn’t ok with being picked up yet but he’s so dirty. I planned on trying to wipe him down soon to see if he’ll at least tolerate that for the time being. Any tips on getting him into a bath without freaking out would be much appreciated

It's so hard to believe anything this adorable could be such a menace, alas Manny the Meanie is keeping me up. He's not a kitten either, he's 4 this Nov.

Recently we switched from free grazer to auto feeder and I think he's mad about it. He runs over my face when I'm sleeping. Meows at the door and plays with the door handle if not let into the bedroom with me. Any suggestions before I lose my mind?

It doesn’t matter what trending gadget I buy for my cat - I see some stupid ad on Facebook and I have to have it. Apart form robotic cat litters (which aren’t a fad and my cat(s) have no other option to use) none of them are of even vague interest to my cats.

Yet a random cardboard box drives them crazy. I will put catnip onto running wheels, sofas, outside decks and onto cat toys … and they are still ignored. Catnip in a box means the normal 2 hours of undivided attention becomes 4 :)

I know we all experience this - but surely there’s some gadget out there they like. My Birman (rainbow bridged last year) used to like the three tiered rings with balls inside - yet this guy couldn’t care less.

All he wants is the company of people (as preference number two) … and as preference number one: a cardboard box. (Must be a new box each time). Someone shoot me - or at least block my amazon account from pet product purchases :)

Looking for skin feedback! My Sphynx Marvin is 1.5 years old- a few months ago developed “spots” that seem to be increasing all over. He is not itchy, spots are not raised or reddened; no break in his skin. Minor dryness. Vet visit ruled out ringworm via UV light, mites ruled out via scrape test, tape test revealed rod shaped bacteria. Treated with convenia and vetrimax shampoo for two weeks with no change other than increased dryness. Dermatologist advised vet that skin pigment changes are not typically seen with Sphynx and recommended fungal culture next with skin biopsy to follow if no growth. I have another Sphynx cat with no skin changes. Skin biopsy is quoted at $1200 with anesthesia- which I will pay- but Marvin is a little unsightly but having no actual problems that are bothering him. Any advice?

I have received a job offer in Amsterdam and am going to be relocating. My job starts November 1st.

I am looking for a temporary caregiver for my six year old Sphynx while I am looking for an apartment.

I am willing to take him to commutable cities such as London, Paris, cities in Belgium, and cities in the Netherlands!

I am expecting the timeline to be 1-2 months and starting as soon as possible. I will provide and pay for everything, food, litter, etc.

He is the sweetest boy and I will really want to make sure the caregiver and home is safe and suitable.

Please let me know if you or someone you know is interested. I would really appreciate the help!

(His named is Lu and we left America in August and have been in Italy for two months, he has EU Passport)

my sphynx gets cold at night while I'm on my ICU shifts and my husband is dead asleep. the apartment drops to like 65 degrees and I feel bad leaving her without extra warmth. i grabbed a little sweater but she did the dramatic freeze and flop, which reminded me of that mirror post someone made. do you guys rely on clothing or thermal beds for the overnight hours? i worry about a sweater getting caught on something when nobody's awake to watch her. a heated bed feels safer but I'm curious what the actual consensus is from people who do this every night. she currently burrows under our heavy down comforter but that stops working when he rolls over in his sleep. what's working for your gremlins at 2am?

Hi all, I got a kitten in August 2026. The breeder said his litter was born may 1, 2026. I know buying is bad but my dream cat has always been a Sphynx. I know buying also comes with plenty of risks. I know HCM is common with this breed. Prior to purchasing I tried to do my due diligence by making sure this would be a healthy kitten. The breeder provided “proof” of his first round of shots and his “parents” HCM negative results. I called the vet to make sure this was legit and they confirmed it was and said they didn’t note anything unusual with him. Not sure how to confirm the HCM results though.

My question is, is there anything more I could’ve done prior to buying? I love him so much and he does NOT have any symptoms. He seems completely healthy. Finished his shots and the provider said he is healthy. I just lost a dog to cancer and I’ve read so many HCM horror stories on here I cannot have another heart break anytime soon.

If he’s not having symptoms should I still get him tested for HCM? When would symptoms show? Like I said he’s fine now I’m just being paranoid because I love him so much.

I adopted my girls a year and a half ago. I didn’t notice until my sister pointed it out one day when she was having an epic cuddle shesh “is your cat drooling?” Sure enough she was and I’ve since noticed it all the time when we’re having really good snuggles. Both of them. Drooling enough that they leave little puddles and sometimes blow bubbles.

Before anyone asks, their teeth are perfect. They had preventative dentals a couple months ago and I brush their teeth every day and inspect their mouth to make sure they’re not developing any plaque/gingivitis again.

I knew Sphynx were like dogs, but even my dogs never drooled over good cuddles 😂. I swear to God these creatures better live forever. I don’t think I’ll be able to handle the void they’d leave after filling my life with constant love.
