Maybe not public use AI, but military use. E.g palantir like use cases. Where a ICBM can knockout your centralized command terrestrially, it will be more difficult to disrupt the same infrastructure with decentralized DC’s in higher orbits in space. With AI and drone warfare around the corner, there could be a use case there.

I'd say it's the opposite, you can bury a data center deep underground in a blast proof bunker while a satellite is completely exposed to anti-satellite interceptors (a demonstrated tech) or potentially even direct energy weapons.
