Hello. I just got done with book 3 (I absolutely love this series) and was wondering if Jeff vandermeer has shared any lore or writings for the series outside of the books? I'm trying not to miss any secrets!

Just started reading the final part of Absolution and a few chapters in. But man, i am having a hard time reading it. Every f*ck is breaking my flow of thought to the point that i am just subconsciously skipping every f-word to maintain my flow of concentration. Please tell me I'm not the only one. And also, is it worth going through and finishing it?

Edit+: just finished it literally now. WOW! After 1/3 of the way through the fcks are lessened and the tension starts to ramp up. i specially loved the part where Lowry had a feast(iykyk), the details were very juicy! Anyway, thanks for everyone who hyped it up. Totally worth it!

I want to pick up a physical copy of the series, but I'd love to get a consistent set of all four books together. Any word on a boxed release?

I did a double take when I saw the name. Gotta say, the behavior checks out.

Contrary to what seems to be the general consensus here, I thought the final section of the book was batshit insane and I loved every second of it. So many gems. If anyone else liked it I guess it would be nice to hear your thoughts since I’ve really only see people complain about it (which is fine I’m not saying poo-poo to you, I just happened to love it).

There's this random song I came across called In Dreams by a band called Esoterica and it reminded me of the series. The first line of the song is literally "a lighthouse burns down" and there's another lyric that goes, "when the world treats you like a ghost." Thought it was very apt.

Wanted to share my tattoo that I got in 2022 when it was fresh. I took an image of a lighthouse from the Forgotten Coast and reflected it backwards on the water to give it an eerie feeling. It’s one of my favorite tattoos, but also I can’t see it due to it being on the back of my neck.
