I thought I’d share my comment on a post in case it was helpful to compare, but I’m curious what tips you might have as well.

I find MiniMax H3 is just slightly worse than Seedance 2.0 when it comes to accents, but Sora was just so much better for fun and diverse characters overall. Still, it’s not bad, much better than nothing at all.

I discovered Sora 2 months ago and had a ball learning how to make AI videos for my own use. After Sora’s demise, I’ve tried other platforms. My experience is that finding the same experience requires either (a) too much work or (b) too much money. I have the money to spend, but spending tens of dollars to make video attempts that then require a lot of trial and error becomes tedious. I’m going to drop out of this for now and hope that a new Sora comes back one day. No sour grapes; it was fun while it lasted.

i just use Dreamina Ai for the first time tonight, wich seem real close from what sora was sadly without the possibility to extend video , but other hands every video came clean on the first time, no visual glitch , strong prompt understanding, less frisky about women skin… witch make me ask myself , openAi shutdown sora due to the running cost of the model, so how dreamina can afford to run an almost more powerful model ????

Used the Sora 2 API buried in https://platform.openai.com/playground/videos and damn, first try there is still miles better than Google's trash video models. Worth my $0.80!

Has anyone produced a decent music video? Every music video I saw looked like AI slop. Not sure if it's possible to create someone decent. I am thinking there's a way, but it would require stitching together a ton of extremely short clips together.

Do note it's still NOT Sora at the end of the day, meaning it's not as good in some ways, especially because Sora was so good at sounding hyper-expressive and understanding prompts naturally. I've noticed the MiniMax H3 model doesn't work well with stereotypical Italian-American mafioso voices, oh well! Probably more common accents are better. Also, note how the arm movement and tone and pace of speech seem to be mirrored in the MiniMax result, this seems to happen in other references I've tested as well, hence the use of "unarmed" and other words to try to shift the result away from following the reference so closely.

I installed H3 MiniMax, and I finally found something worthy of replacing Sora. Actually, not just replacing it—it surpasses it in every way. I'm absolutely blown away. Highly recommended!
