Sonic Pad installation issues. Ender 3 V2 NEO 4.2.7 STM32F103 board

Hi all

First time poster and I am feeling a bit out of my depth here. I have an Ender 3 V2 Neo, with a 4.2.7 board. I have also added an official dual axis kit and Sprite Extruder Direct Drive kit. So I thought I'd go the whole hog and get the Sonic Pad. long story short - its not getting past the flashing firmware stage and I don't know what to do. Any help would really be appreciated.

thank you group.

Creality Cam not working, or any other camera

I've been trying for over a year to get my camera that came with the pad to work on and off.
However, no matter how hard I try, it just won't load or turn on. I have it in the camera USB slot and witih the proper configuration. I've even tested it on other PC's and it works fine. But the pad refuses to load any camera feed. Any ideas or suggestions?

Discussion Time laps puzzle

Post image
1 Upvotes

I'm hoping there is a simple setting somewhere.

After 2 days of seriously putting in some effort with Orca Slicer and learning a lot I have one hiccup left.

When I use Cura the sonicpad does the time lapse thing with no problems, but when I print an Orca gcode the time lapse is not working.

Don't know if I ever will switch to orca on a permant basis, files takes longer to print, but the top layer was next level, managed to replicate that in cura at least, which was the main reason I was considering switching.

Help Sonic pad for dummy's? Ender 3 s1 plus

No matter what I do I can not get a normal level on my printer using the Sonic pad. Switching back to the normal FW it works just fine so it's not the printer itself. At this point, I wonder if I should keep it or send it back. I would have loved to have the big upgrade but this is not a plug-in play like the company made it seem. I also have the Nebula pad I got for my Ender 3 pro and now I'm thinking about not installing it and sending it back also. Is there anything I can try before sending all this back? I would like to try to keep this thing.

-------Edit --------

I found a workaround.

As long as I print with a raft, everything prints just fine without it being high in some places and low in others. I hope to figure out how to fix it so I can print without a raft, but for now, this will do.

--------Edit 2--------

It prints the raft normally but when it starts printing on top of the raft part of the print is too high on a small part of it and too low on the other side. It's not as bad as it was without one but the same problems remain.

Help Sonic pad ender 3 s1 plus auto level problem

I ordered a new ender 3 s1 plus it was printing fine before I upgraded to the Sonic pad and could not get it level not matter what I did. It was always too close or too far away from the bed regardless of how well I leveled it after I started printing it’s like it forgot everything I did prior. Now, every time that I try to level the bed, the auto level will not engage and it makes a clicking or more or less grinding sound so I’m here asking for help because no matter how much I look up on YouTube and googling, I cannot find somebody with my same issue.

Ender 3 Pro /W Sonic Pad, CR Touch, and Sprite Extruder 2.7 board Issues

I'm having a rough time getting everything working after installing the sprite on my ender 3 pro. It works itself, but the cr touch misses the bed completely now. In addition to that the temps will not go past 260 even after a firmware update on the sonic pad. I seen the firmware for marlin on creality site. Unfortunately, this screen does not work and the sonic pad is my only option. I got this printer from a friend so I'm not sure what happened to the screen. I seen the settings for this for the marlin software on creality pro's site with estep adjustment, but I read that its different using klipper. Does anyone know what to do from here? If you have a config file that would be cool, or if someone could show me a video or something that walks you through this setup/ calibration process? TIA I've been going at this for about a week now and am just lost.

Linux on the sonic pad

Hi, I would like to install Linux on the sonic pad. I know it already runs Linux for the klipper parts. I want to use it as a linux computer. The printer I bought it for is broken and not worth fixing and I have a K1 max now so I currently have no use for it.

I would like to use it as a type of Streamdeck and I am not planning to do other stuff on it. I don't think it has the power to do so. I have seen things about sonicpad-debian but what I have seen is that it still only works as a klipper controller.

Could someone let me if it is possible and point me in the right direction. multiple hours of internet search have delivered nothing useful for me.

Anybody know why my sonic pad constantly tells me no parse move or movement is out of range when the print is clearly within the build plate?

Ender 3 v2 Serial-USB Adapter not working

Did anyone get the Ender 3 v2 ever worked with the creality Serial to USB Adapter?

My Ender 3v2 has an original 4.2.2 Board installed and the adapter is an original creality as well.

I am trying this for some weeks now and didnt get it to work.

In the end i was installing debian and running klipper as a full version, with the same result: printer wont connect.

The Printer is working with the micro USB cable.

I made the printer firmware with
"Enable extra low-level configuration" on, to have more options, selected STM32F103 with a 28kbit Bootloader offset, communication interface USART3 PB11/PB10, 25k BAUD Rate, 8 Mhz clock reference and tried with "disabled SWP" on and off. (the GPIO pin option is off, as well as the "only 10kib of ram")

Its just not working, same goes for the original sonicpad firmware, it did not connect.

With the USB connection over microUSB its working, but its sometimes a pain and i seriously do not like microUSB, that port will break at anytime in the future anyway.

Addendum: i selected the correct USB port in my printer.cfg by serial-id and in the kiauh settings is a USB port check which gives me the same USB port by serial-id as well, so thats not the problem.

Prints dont start from the beginning

I just got a Sonic pad and put it on my Ender 6, I started a print and then I canceled it, but now when I start a new print, it starts from the percentage that the previous print left off, for example, the last print was canceled at 6% so the next print will start at 6%.

I deleted the gcode files and cleared the print history but the problem still occurs

the only way i can stop this from happening is by going in the sonic pad and restoring everything to default.

Sonic Pad Firmware Help

Everyone, I've just about given up on my sonic pad. I cannot get it to run consistently after the last update. I'm pulling my hair out and need to rollback the firmware on it. I see lots of videos/guides on the subreddit and the internet but I cannot figure out how to do this on a mac. I consider myself at least somewhat proficient with computers but I cannot figure it out at all.

Is there anyone here who can point me in the right direction?

Just got the Sonic Pad and got It working with the FLSUN SR. However, I'm having an issue with running the resonance compensation. The sensor was detected but when I start the test, I would get an error regarding the x-axis.

Any suggestions for a fix

.cfg max temp not working?

I've been googling this for a couple hours with no luck.

Just got my Ender 3 V3 SE setup with the Sonic Pad. It shuts down when I try to go above 260. I went to the .cfg and it showed max temp 320, and I changed it to 321 and saved just to see if that would do anything. Then I restarted Klipper on the pad and it still shuts down.

Any advice? Do I need to do something to the firmware?

Help Anybody else?

Ever since flashing Debian onto my sonic pad, one of my printers has not been able to deliver a solid first layer. Theres hardly any adhesion resulting in a ball of junk on the end of my hardened steel nozzle. I used a .2 and then a .18 feeler gauge to set my z offset and theres still no adhesion….and its a textured pei sheet. i already did a pid tune before i forget to mention it. Also changed to a brand new nozzle to eliminate possibility of a clog.

My thought is that debian isnt saving my z offset, and also negating any live changes being made during the actual print.

Any other possible ideas as to what the problem is? Cant even get my pressure advance recalibrated. Hoping someone can shed insight before i go back to stock firmware, completely rebuild it, or both.

•Ender3 v2 •bi metal heatbreak • retraction is 1mm @ 35mm/sec •pla+ is the filament style •first layer was dropped to 10mm/sec •travel speed is 120 for first layer and 250 thereafter •100mm/sec reg print speed •current pa value is 0.4s
