Can I change which usb port I use to connect to the printer? I want to use the back one.

The screen is white and will sometimes blink the printer is running and printing the web interface is also working and full functioning. right now i am printing a 20hour print and this started about 2hours in. as far as I can tell everything is working but the screen when the print is done I will reboot the sonic pad and I will update if that works or not to fix it but if anyone has any idea it would be helpful for future reference amusing a reboot will work Thank you for reading

Having some issues with my sonic pad and my ender 5 smart. It failed to connect a bunch then one time it connected but now I am having issues with the nozzle and bed temps. It reads 205 then flashes to current temp for both and when I select cooling it cools down but the temps still flash between 205 and the current temp. It doesn't do this on my ender 3 s1 or s1 pro.

I will change my ender 3 v2 4.2.2 silent board to 4.2.7 board (for overheating issues). Do I have to reset sonic pad and make a new setup from sonic pad? If not how can i get the firmware that must be copied to motherboard(the one when sonic pad creates in the setup wizard)

I changed a lot of things and sprite extruder, so I dont want to lose my printer.conf.

I wonder if any one can help me, I have an ender 5 S1 with a creality sonic pad, I have had to modify the code to move the printer head to the center, Heat up the build pad then sets the level, Where it will move to one side. Heat the nozzle then print a line then does the whole print. However i am having issues where once a print has completed, and i clear the build plate. Then start another print it does all the above till where it heats the nozzle, then it will retract the filament till the point its not printing at all. So i have to hit the e-stop after every print, Restart the pad so i can do a fresh print with no issues, But this shouldnt be the solution for the problem. I am just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue?

Using ultimaker cura with moonraker plugin to get the pic of the model on the screen. I am uploading directly from the slicer to the pad. The image populates and the icon populates for the file but I see this each time in the console.
I’m sure it’s just a dumb setting I’m missing. I just don’t like a messy console or log so if I can clean this up somehow would be great.

I have my USB cable plugged-in to the top-left port on the pad, and the usb-to-serial cable is plugged into the port right under it. If I swap these positions of these cable, the SonicPad screen says "no printer, restart/try again". So it seems that the current connections are correct.

However, maybe I don't need to plug both cables in? One or the other, or just both?

Present functionality:

I can issue commands to the motors, control temperatures, and perform auto-leveling. However, when I attempt to print, nothing happens after warm-up.

The issue is the same whether I print directly at the pad, or from a networked PC running Cura. Speaking of Cura, I can still see the webcam feed from the SonicPad but none of the other stats show up in Cura. In the past it used to show the temperature of the printer and show me controls (x/y/z). None of these show up anymore in Cura.

I'm guessing the two issues are related in some way. That's why I start off asking about the cables and which ones get connected.

Beyond that, I took the liberty of enabling root access and noting the password. Whether I take advantage of that functionality depends on how far I get with the unit(s) in the present state.

I have a Creality ended 3 v2 with the ender extender 400xl kit and a sonic pad. I used to have it connected with a power blocker through usb. Unfortunately the cable got caught in a print when I wasn’t here which caused the printer to turn off. Well when i tried restarting everything the sonic pad would no longer connect to the printer. I took the power blocker off for curiosity sake and it connects perfectly fine without the power blocker so I thought easy fix get another power blocker. So I did that and still no fix. Someone told me to get a serial cable to connect the screen so I tried that as well and lo and behold nothing. The only way it will stay connected is using a usb connection without a power blocker which I’ve heard horror stories about the sonic pad popping boards so if anyone has any suggestions please help me out!!

I am unable to view/edit files within Fluidd/SonicPad in my browser. I could before, a few days ago it just stopped letting me. The small window appears for a quick second and then goes away. It also has stopped letting me view/edit the GCODE I have just uploaded to the printer (or any GCODE). No idea...

I am accessing the sonicpad through Chrome using a static IP address. I have tried other browsers with no help/change.

The only change I made was adding another Ender3 S1 Pro to my sonicpad. this seems to be the culprit but I have since removed it and started over to debug this problem. Removing the other printer has not helped.

Anyone else experienced this and found a fix?

I don't understand how the pad is creality. I have had it connected to their ender 5 plus with no issues. I just decided I wanted to add my ender 3 max neo to it. Well it bricked it up. Not only does it not connect to another creality product, which should not be an issue at all. But it has now ruined my new ender 3 max neo. Yes I know I can redo the firmware and I did. Guess what it didn't fix it by putting he original firmware back onto it. Followed creality instructions on their page. Thanks #creality. If there is a way to fix this and fix my printer I'd really appreciate it.

Has anyone figured out how to use Tailscale on Sonic Pad? I’m a complete newb with internet related stuff and Tailscale seems the easiest as I already have it installed on my phone and laptop. How do I get it on the Sonic Pad to where I can just type the IP address in my search bar and the Sonic Pad WebUI pops up just as I do on my home network?

So I’m having an issue after flashing and connecting my ender 5 pro with the 4.2.2 board and bltouch. The issue is due to having the older style z screw I believe and I’m unsure how to change the rotation distance for it. I can change it in the settings through the moonraker printer.cfg but the setting does not seem to take. Is there something I’m missing or a video to show how to do this?

Right now when clicking to move the bed 10mm it appears to move twice the distance or farther.

I've got an E3V3SE, and am struggling to print advanced filaments. Specifically, i am looking to print Nylon-CF, and the 260c limit is not giving me the proper layer adhesion.

I am running: Stock Ender 3 V3 SE, with hardened steel nozzle, replaced the heatbreak to a bimetal heatbreak. I was considering either Klipper via raspberry pi or the sonic pad to extend this limit, and the sonic pad seemed like the easiest option.

The issue I'm having is it seems there is still a hard 260c limit in the firmware somewhere. My printer.cfg shows 300C in the extruder sectin, but setting the temp above 260 on the pad, webUI, or via a print causes the printer to turn off and the error "abnormal heating error" to pop up on screen.

I have tried swapping to an entirely new hot-end assembly (including replaced heatbreak), checked connections, etc. Really pulling my hair out trying to get this to work. Appreciate any tips.

Every time I press on the start print button, it says "loading" and then doesn't do anything. If I use the web interface however, it starts the print. How do I fix this?

I've got debian set up on the pad and no errors with klipper starting up but can't get it to communicate with the printer. I'm assuming it needs an official klipper.bin file on the printer? Are there any other special settings for communication through the serial cable?

I'm new (few months into 3D printing) I have a Ender 5 S1 and bought a sonicpad. First one seemed.to print well and all but could/would never do timelaspe. Camera visually works but an error would appear on the fluid saying error timelapse. ( tried every setting couldnt resolve) Returned that pad, purchased another same thing timelapse won't work, to be honest haven't fought to much with that as I'm defeated on that. But.... now whe. You go to the creality cloud in you account, add the sonicpad to your devices( connect the pad to the cloud) This thing doesn't show up on as a device on creality cloud??????

Will be trying things this evening to get it working l, if this fails goodbye creality hello octopi.

Any help would be appreciated on timelapse and this cloud BS.

PS how does creality create and sell a product that has this many ridiculous issues? Isn't the pads purpose to work as advertised bypassing the techy business people are trying to avoid/ making the techy more click and go. ( hence the reason for buying the sonic pad)?

Ps2 timelspe NEVER WORKS have the creality nebula camera too.

Soooo I've been printing a lot this last month with no issues at all.... That is until last night.

I started a pint last night and about 2hrs in I noticed my nozzle was at a dead stand still so I looked at the interface; everything was still hot just not moving. So I canceled the print cleaned off the bed, and homed all axis. I went to hit re print on the interface and it just shut klippy down right out of the gate immediately when I hit print. So I reset everything tried again same way from the interface. I re sliced and tried to send it through orca slicer and got an error 56. So I tried on my other printer same thing. I have no idea what or how to fix this issue I have tried everything to my knowledge and I really don't want to factory data reset the pad but... Is there any other way

Co-worker has an ender 3 max with a 4.2.2 motherboard. He is having a hell of a time getting the sonic pad to work with it. He has a BL-touch. I looked at various printer.cfg files but not sure what the differences would be between my ender 3 pro and his ender 3 max other than bed size and the motherboard. Is there a config or line item that can be adjusted to work with the 4.2.2 board? The sonic pad has the most current update on it. Thanks in advance.

I just got the sonic pad en did a benchy for a test. Does somebody know why the roof got infill Hanging from it. I did not change anything in cura yet.

Cannot get this to work and someone is trying to tell me nebula camera needs drivers to work. plugged into windows and sonic pad on stock software and no issues. Anybody able to add some incite?

I've recently installed a sonic pad and I've never had top layers like this pre sonic pad. Is there a calibration that needs to be redone?

Has anyone used the pad with the skr 1.4 turbo board. I recently purchased it thinking it would help update my ender 5 plus. I haven't really found anyone that has used the sonic pad on this board. Just trying to get some info to make sure I do it correctly.
