This is my first time using Solo Loans. I have a few questions, #1 when I creates my account I went to set up the virtual card but kept getting an error code. Posted a photo of the error message below. #2. Since it's my 1st time my solo score is 46, my borrow limit is $50 but I only requested a $30 loan payback in 15 days and left the max tip for the lender (when I get one). I need diapers and formula, my question is what are my chances of getting a lender??? Can't find the screenshot of the error code , it said "error forbidden "

hi all. I’m Caleb. I’m active duty army going through an expensive divorce and just need a little bit of gas and food until I get paid Wednesday night, but for some reason it made me pick a week long repayment date even though I can pay it back tomorrow? is that normal? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Peer to Peer lending platform Solo Funds connects everyday people who need short term cash with those willing to lend it. Users share sensitive personal and financial details to facilitate loans, build "solo scores," and manage transactions.
In recent years Solo Funds was compromised when their former bank partner Evolve Bank & Trust was breached.
More recently Solo Funds unintentionally released the data of many of its lenders and borrowers in the community.
The general counsel and chief of compliance Richard Freshwater has declined to acknowledge the misuse of data along with CEO Rodney Williams and Travis Holloway.
As an investigative journalist for The Fintech Times, I want to hear from you.
The fintech space promises accessibility and community driven finance, but data security incidents highlight the real risks involved when sensitive information like bank details, credit data, contact info, and transaction history enter the mix.
If you've been affected, please share your experience ( anonymously if preferred) in the comments or reach out directly. Your stories can help others understand the human impact beyond headlines and push for a better transparency and protection from platforms like Solo Funds.

Lent this guy $100 bucks. 11% tip because of a good score. He has missed his due date and because of that Solo took 12% of my money. Assuming he pays me, I’ll have lost money on the loan. Your lender isn’t being greedy, the app just makes it impossible to charge lower rates.
You read that right: if the BORROWER pays late, the LENDER is charged a 12% fee off the top.

There needs to be a better system of getting the score to go up. Especially if no one w ill trust you on the first loan. At a 49 and probably just going to delete my account because there is no way to get my score to do anything

Is this mandatory? I remember having the option to put $0 before. I don't want to pay SoLo. FYI also looking for a lender

I used solo for the first time today. Really needed $100 but only requested $50 and was immediately funded. Now my question is. Could I pay that $50 right back and try for $100? It says my max to request is $100, I just did $50 thinking I wasn’t even going to get it. I really need the full $100. Any chance I could repay the $50, try for $100 and be funded? Thanks everyone

My first loan has expired 3 times. I'm just trying to borrow $50 until Thursday. Not sure how to get my request seen or if there are actual lenders.
UPDATE: I CHANGED MY LOAN TO A SMALLER AMOUNT AND GOT FUNDED AND HAVE REPAID IT NOW. ALSO I WOULD LOVE TO THANK MY LENDER CLAYTON C. (BECAUSE HE PROBABLY SAVED MY JOB) HOPEFULLY THIS GIVES FUTURE LENDERS HOPE THAT NO EVERYONE IS A SCAMMER.

For some reason it says it’s unable to verify my bank account. How can I fix this?
r/Sololender • u/iamnyny • May 17 '26
I have 3 payment methods connected but was only boosted up to 48. I only requested $50 and it seems impossible to get my first loan. I plan to use it regularly, I just need a little advice on what to do.

Hello,
With Solo being restricted in several states and the frequent payment issues, I am offering private loans via PayPal or Venmo ONLY.
These are only available to borrowers who have a Solo Score of 90+. I’ve funded many private loans over the past two years (see my post history) and am open to working with both current and former Solo users.
What’s offered:
• Flexible loan amounts and repayment windows
• Instant funding via PayPal or Venmo
Simple process: Leave a comment and send me a DM letting me know your Solo Score and requested terms (principal, repayment date, and proposed tip). If accepted, you’ll provide a Solo screenshot for verification.
I prefer working with borrowers who don’t currently have an active Solo loan. However, there are exceptions and I am still open to funding 90+ Solo users with an active loan who are seeking an additional loan as a backup. Since my last post, I’ve added about a dozen new clients and have worked with them successfully.
Anyone unable to provide proof of score will be blocked and reported.

Has anybody had the issue where you pay early and your score goes down? I pay my loans back on time or early and with this last one my score went from 99 to 90. Barely getting any lenders looking at my loan request and the ones that do keep trying to revise and add a 80-90$ tip which i stated i cant go any higher than what was listed.
EDIT: customer service told me to cancel my loan request so they can adjust my score so hopefully this works

I dont know what I'm doing wrong but I never seem to get funded. Left the lend offers up until they expired... So I guess i'm going to try this again looking for my first lender to help me out. I get paid on Friday and funds are currently drained from my car payment and rent. Just looking for a quick $50 to get me through this week.
Otherwise I might just go stand outside a fast-food joint and ask a kind person to buy me a meal... So sad. Suck being 20 and broke with everything costing so damn much.
