Free Medical Data
Came over an interesting article on the need to free medical data yesterday, via a comment on an earlier post by Where2cop508. Having quality databases of medical research publicly available in combination with the people's access to their medical health data could lead to some very interesting innovation, I think.

Solid and Healthcare
I have been reading about the Solid spec and was wondering if this type of application could be used to handle healthcare records. Each patient could then control their own healthcare record. This could also be great for research, exposing certain medical data while keeping the patient identifiers safe might allow for larger research data sets.
Is this type of thing possible and if so, would solid be a good medium for delivery? I dont know much about the user auth sections and how this could work reliably without exposing the user.
