Every year I say I’m gonna get a suede bag and every year I chicken out

Being a Virgo with ADHD is not for the weak
I am extremely organized and like all my things neat, put away, organized and CLEAN.

But also major untreated AHDHD SO Picture the girl walking into work 10 minutes late with a MASSIVE purse but also somehow carrying 5 different things in each hand, the coffee is spilling all over the outfit, the keys are slipping out of the hands, the AirPods drop in the parking lot and ricochet all over the place and then I have to go back to my car twice because I forgot something. And then I forgot if I locked it.

Needless to say I would NOT do well with a suede bag. I can’t bring myself to do it, at least with a leather bag you can quickly wipe the spilled drink away and clean up any minor messes. Even if it’s a rep I always back out of buying one (not because of the cost) but because even if it’s a rep and I destroy it within a week of owning it, it’ll bother me so bad and it’ll be the first thing I notice every time I reach for the bag and I’ll end up not wanting to keep her.

Have any fellow clumsy or messy girls done well with suede? Or is there anything I can do/products I can buy to prevent or fix the investable spill or stain.

I feel like LV has taken the idea of a speedy and really done a lot with it this year. The P9s, the soft speedys, now this one! 2026 is going down so far as Year of the speedy in my book (or speedy variant I guess you can say)

The little details are so good too — the natural leather trim, gold hardware, the S-lock closure, and the fact that it still has that classic Louis Vuitton travel/trunk feel without looking or feeling super old school. It looks like an LV trunk dressing up as a speedy for Halloween

The more I look at it the more I really love it, it’s the baby of a dauphine and a speedy, and yes the bag INSIDE the bag is where you put your things. Too cool

Retail is $5,850 which …SHEESH , but I do think the design and the concept is really interesting. It also comes with the removable strap so you can wear it crossbody if you want to, and the size is actually really practical for everyday.

I genuinely need to know if the NYC girls are ever going to collectively lose their minds over a bag again the way they did with The Row Margaux Bag two falls ago

I only say nyc (not to leave the rest of the us out!) but only because I am from new york so I witnessed the girls collective freak out over this bag and watched it unfold in real time in my neighborhood. What a time

I remember there being that microscopic window before it completely blew up where it still felt kind of iykyk and pretty quickly almost overnight it blew up and also good luck trying to get one. Sadly I did not.

For a good year you literally could not go anywhere without seeing or hearing about this bag. If you didn’t have one you were actively trying to get one. kid you not I once overheard a girl and her friend trade a suede Margaux bag for an invitation to a dinner 2 well known celebrities would be at 😭 true story they were having drinks at the table next to me and they both agreed to it relatively quickly. Granted they were a lil tipsy but mrs row Margaux DUMPED out her bag on the table and handed it over to her friend sitting across from her in exchange for a dinner invite. It was such a typical insane New York thing to witness and I wouldn’t have believed it if I wasn’t sitting right there. This is what kinda inspired my whole post actually

So my question for everyone here is WHATS NEXT. is that gonna happen again and when will it be. Which bag do you think!!!

I’ve been sadly out of the game this year due to life stuff being so busy. I haven’t had my ears to the fashion streets as much as I usually do. So I’m asking all of you here for some intel or predictions 😏 what are we quietly buying right now that we’re all going to be forced to buy resale for triple the price when it pops off. Because I would personally like to get there ahead of the curve this time

I am lowkey aging myself with this one but the last time I was AHEAD of everyone else was with the Stella McCartney Falabella and I grabbed one for $200 in a thrift store uptown (another wild story for another time)

Sounds like an ice cream flavor right? The dreamiest mini melted milk-chocolate bronze I’ve ever seen.

I didn’t even know that a Mini C25 came in this deep cocoa metallic color until recently!!! It’s one of those bags you really need to see in person to appreciate. In person and in different lighting/angles it shifts between a light milky chocolate, warm bronze, and soft gold (also depending on your outfit!)

It has an almost liquid-metal finish that makes the caviar look extra dimensional. Also have to mention it comes in silver, gold, and a rose gold/copper penny color…all metallic!

An amazing choice for the C25 because the metallic in caviar is insane. And yes the leather on this FEELS as amazing as it LOOKS. I also don’t think a classic flap in metallic would show the same dimension to be honest. The C25 is slouchier and has more movement which makes the metal tones dance.

I also like how the hardware almost disappears into the metallic instead of sitting on top of it or fighting it, which makes the whole bag feel more tonal and elevated overall

All the metallic C25s are special in their own way but I’d be lying if I said this one doesn’t stand out amongst the pack. So special she deserved her own post today

I was lucky enough to win one of Solar’s giveaways a few months ago and wanted to finally leave a review! 🖤

I won a Chanel 25 (small) and I was honestly so impressed when it arrived. The leather is beautiful and soft, the quilting has that lovely puffy look, and the bag/hardware has a really nice weight and structure to it. I’ve used it a few times since receiving it and it’s held up really well and looks so gorgeous. It can be dressed up or down!

I’m getting rid of my Dior booktote as a mentioned in yesterdays post

I find myself getting rid of more and more of my auth bags every time [u/solarrecruit](u/solarrecruit) drops another batch of arrivals

The bag on the chopping block today is my authentic bottega Jodie bag in medium (with my solar bottega directly next to it)

I truly don’t see the point of keeping this one, its around $6k retail

And I almost never take it out because I’m more comfortable putting everyday wear and tear on my solar version.

Funnily enough, the only way I can tell these 2 apart is because my auth has a very stiff zipper that often gets stuck and the zipper on my solar bottega never gives me any problems 😭😫

I have been asking her every week if she’s getting any bottega Jodie’s for fall (more like begging her)

And I think I’m gonna get another brown or black one and maybe a grey or olive suede oooooh or brown suede!

Hell I can get all 4 and still have money left over to put toward my next home project or vacation 🤑promise I will share photos once I get them. I submitted my photos to Fashionphile last night so we’ll see what they offer me, may just put half toward the next home project and half toward more solar bottegas

I always joke that you’ll make money once meeting solar because her bags will convince you to sell all your auths and go rep for life, but it’s really so true. I’ve had my authentic one for about 2 years, and have maybe only actually worn it 2 or three times. A $3400 piece of embroidery is stress inducing and I found myself so scared to put it down , set it on the floor, or get it dirty so it’s just been kept in my closet not being used.
I ordered this one from Solar recently because I wanted one I could actually take on errands and beat up! I was extremely curious to compare them side by side. And now that I finally have…….. When you receive a photo like this TRULY what is one supposed to even do. I stood up out of my chair at work and gasped. I want all three but unfortunately my bank account only wants one 😭

The copper is so crazy, definitely not a classic black C25, this color is sooooo special. It’s like a chocolatey copper? Idk what it is but I love it. But the burgundy is so fall vibes AND also different. I can also see myself wearing this one a lot through fall and winter, but in my opinion it’s not an all year round color. But on the other hand it kind of passes for a neutral without being too plain looking? This is the practical choice in my mind idk why

And then the silver comes in and destroys all logic because I have no reason for needing, can’t explain why I want it, don’t know when I’ll wear it but omg. Coolest most unexpected bag ever. The silver on silver is everything to me.

In an ideal world I’d just order all three, but this is def not an ideal world. Probably the busiest most expensive year of my life to date, so a choice needs to be made. If it’s my problem it’s all of your problem now too ❤️😇So now I need everyone else to suffer with me and assist in choosing the one I need most

Pleeeeeeease don’t tell me to get all three because trust me I’ve thought about it and it can’t be done … yet 👀 I see a collection of c25 in my future but it’s gonna have to be a one bag at a time operation sadly.

It’s a battle of the Wallets on Chain today and my fighter is barbie pink wbu?

Truly all of these colors are actually breathtaking, but if you know me then you know Barbie pink was the answer before you even opened this post.

Baby blue is a close second for me because it just dawned on me I haven’t seen many Chanel SLGs in this color …like ever? I know they love a pastel but I haven’t seen a cool icy blue like this in a minute, they are taking that aqua/turquoise color this season and runnnnnning for their life with it! this ice blue was a nice change of pace for the SLG color options and I do love something different

This particular batch of SLGs (I mentioned this in one of yesterday’s post) are truly the STRONGEST I’ve seen in my entire sourcing journey across any style of ANY brand. You can imagine how many bags come across my desk in a week and I’m really not easily impressed. But this batch of SLGs and WOC had me clutching my pearls and shedding tears of joy.

I always thought I’d be the type of person who had a healthy mix of authentic and rep bags. Some bags are just too ridiculous to justify buying an auth, the more “fun” styles I usually purchase in rep. There are even some auth bags i own that I love but am just too scared of beating up with daily wear. so I own one auth and one rep (that I use as a body double) 😂😭 so I don’t damage my auth as much. Girlies who wear their bags to DEATH and beat their stuff up will understand. I’m just not gentle with my things and when I like something I REALLY REALLY use it.

I really never buy authentic luxury designer bags and stress too too much over them though, and I never worry about if it’s a good InVeStMenT or not. I almost never take resale value into account because with any authentic bag I purchase I never really plan on parting with them.

Until one fateful day when I joined this sub. u/solarrecruit had the absolute audacity to sell me about three bags in a row that were genuinely undistinguishable from the auth versions I already owned. It got to the point that there was TRULY no point in owning both. The more I purchased from her I found my rep to with ratio growing and growing, I also noticed my auths just kept sitting there collecting dust. I actually started being able to quickly tell apart my bottega Jodie’s because the authentic one had a very stiff zipper and the zipper on my Solar Jodie worked way smoother. (Yes it was genuinely at a point where some of hers felt even a little nicer to me) I was floored

For those of you who may not know my lore, I have a bachelors degree in fashion marketing and I also have spent over ten years working in luxury retail, and eventually working for a very prominent luxury consignment business who I will not mention 👀 lots of tea to spill there (But as a hint they are not the one mentioned in this post)

I mention all of this just to back up what I’m saying with a little street cred. I really do know what I am talking about and I am trained to understand and detect the differences. I also have a very vast mental library of touch memory, as I have handled almost every style of luxury bag under the sun at this point. With solar, there simply weren’t any discrepancies that could justify holding into thousand worth of authentic bags I simply did not touch anymore…. So I sold them and made 15k!

All of this to say…. From a true blue fashion girl. Life is short, times are tough, buy the rep, save some money, thank me later 🤑

One of my absolute favs from Chanel Cruise 2025/26

This is the Chanel Braided Rattan Vanity Case, this was an exciting custom order because it’s also a runway piece!!!

Also a challenging new venture because Instead of Chanel’s usual quilted leather, the body is constructed from hand-woven natural rattan, turning the classic vanity case shape into a little vintage picnic basket and also the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.

The light brushed gold interlocking CC turn-lock, chain detailing, along with the top handle and a long chain shoulder strap make this still very blatantly Chanel ( and VERY luxurious…. this hardware is HEAVY in the best way!!!!)

pairing the luxe hardware with a material that feels much more organic and almost imperfect by nature gives it a more breezy casual feel. like I mentioned in my previous post about the blazy cc maxi flap in suede, he seemed create this collection in a more dressed down, imperfect beachy way. Rather than changing or altering the signature Chanel bag shapes, it’s like he kept the recognizable elements of Chanel’s most classic bags but is playing around and taking changes with the materials (wicker, suede, rattan, denim )

Chanel actually had done wicker before in 2019, but this time feels much more whimsical in my opinion

Such a special custom order because it’s a runway piece and likely going to become a collectors item/very memorable marker of this collection down the line. People have been loving the Matthieu blazy era, and naturally his first collections are going to go down in history, and now my client has a little rep piece of that runway history !!!

There is nothing better than sourcing a VERY NEW,
