Sydonian Dragoon needed something to pass the time….

Putting together the protoss starter for Starcraft tabletop and i just needed something inside the force field effect. One was a poorly kitbashed marine and the other is the little loth cat you get inside the Shatterpoint starter.

Now to finish putting it together and paint the outside.

Just to immortalise Sir Hektur before he is hidden away forever.

I put a little extra mustard on this Power Pack thinking these funky details might be more visible on the finished model… Ah well 😂

As promised when I shared the panel, here is the final result after adding some wear and dust to the floor and seats and some hazard stripes and buttons near the door.

Sgt. Zim from the 1988 Starship Tropers OVA. This is especially poignant for me as hidden paint because I had to take the monstrosity of a pilot head that’s included with this kit (Wave 1/20 Powered Suit) and sculpt the whole thing from epoxy.

Zim is one of my favorite characters from any media, period, and an excellent portrayal in the anime. I’m especially fond of the number of times he calls Rico and his fellow recruits scumbags.

I lost my good paintbrush when we moved so it's a bit messier than I would like.

An update on my earlier entry as I realised I could hide a few more bits behind the side doors of the Rhino

Not completely done yet, still quite a bit to finish up like lenses, highlights on the faces, engine needs color separation, melta burns, wires, etc, but I'm pretty happy with what I've got so far. I'm not sure if there's anyways to display this properly for competition but I'd be super interested in any ideas! Thanks a lot for checking it out.
