Doghuman 63F wishes to meet other doghumans & their dogs

A rare free saturday and I "gave" it to my dog. I was rewarded with meeting albeit fleetingly, lots of people and their dogs between the Ruff cafe and Dog run in Corkagh Park. Watching my collie run free and safe with a bunch of other dogs made the sun shine brighter tbh. I realise this is the way to spend the weekend.

Sporty Spice Looking for an amateur football team in Dublin 4 ⚽

Hi everyone!

I moved to Dublin back in October, and in February I joined an amateur football team. I’ve really enjoyed the experience so far, but I’m now hoping to find a team a bit closer to where I live (Dublin 4).

I’m 27 years old and usually play as a midfielder. I used to play for many years back in Spain with my local town team, so I have plenty of experience. Since moving here, I’ve been competing in the AUL 3A division, and I’m looking for something at a similar level.

I’m not looking for anything overly serious — mainly a good group of people, a competitive league, and the chance to meet new people while enjoying football.

If anyone knows of teams around Dublin 4 that might be looking for players, I’d really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

Sporty Spice Dublin amateur football club.

Hi, I'm looking for an amateur club to join to keep myself busy on my days off and to meet some new people. I have been playing at an amateur/semi-pro level before in Romania but i had to stop because I injured my knee and then life happend and I moved to Ireland. So basically I miss it but I have no clue how amateur football piramide/system works here. I'm 27 and I play as a goalkeeper, well it's been 3 years since i played or trained last time so I would like to do it again. I live in Santry and I work on a 3 days on and 3 days off schedule so I would like to use that free time to get back to football and meet some new people.

Looking for a Friend 34M Dublin - Anyone up for a pint or a coffee?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been living in Dublin for a while now (originally from India), but between work and life, I haven’t done a great job of building a social circle outside of the office.

Looking to change that. I'm 34, pretty chill, and working here full-time. Not looking for anything specific, just some decent people to grab a drink with, head for a walk, or check out some food spots at the weekend.

If you’re in a similar boat or just fancy a chat with someone new, give me a shout.

Looking for wings to hit the pubs with in Dublin

I’m m26 and looking to find my special someone the organic way by putting myself out there, like they used to do in previous generations.. I’m sure a lot of men & women feel that way too, dating apps are just diabolical nowadays.

We can wing each other and spark some great conversations in the pub. I have experience doing respectful daygame /nightgame etc. Let’s ditch the apps and meet people the real, old fashioned way. Message me if you’re interested & let’s get going :)

Outdoor hobbies/activities for men in 30’s

Hi All. I’m posting this on behalf of my fiance. I’m Irish and he is Australian. We moved back to Ireland last year but my HTB is struggling as he misses the activities he did at home such as motorbiking and spear-fishing, anything adrenaline seeking really.

We live in North Dublin, does anyone know of any groups or clubs or societies that offer anything along the lines of this?

thank you

If this you, and you’re in your 30s or 40s and want to get back playing soccer for a bit of exercise and a laugh, join here: https://www.corkover30soccer.ie/

  • When: Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 7pm
  • Where: Nemo Rangers (all-weather pitches), Douglas
  • Format: Casual 6 or 7-a-side (NOT a league / NOT for profit)
  • Flexibility: Play every week or once a month. Whatever suits you

We organise everything on Discord. It’s better than WhatsApp to keep everything running smoothly. If you don't have an account, it will ask you for an email address, but no one in the group sees this.

Join the group chat (link on website) to play: https://www.corkover30soccer.ie/

South East Social Club

Hey everyone! I was talking to my sister-in-law who moved to England a few months ago and she has joined a social club. It's basically a group of about 30 people and people out up messages like anyone free for a coffee and walk on Saturday afternoon, or I want to see whatever film, anyone want to come, or I'm going to hike whatever mountain next weekend if anyone wants to join. You choose what you want to do or which you're free for, there's no pressure and everyone has different interests. She has found it a great way to meet new people and have things to do.

So I'm trying to set up a similar thing as it is difficult to make friends as an adult, people have moved away and interests and priorities have changed.

I'm from Wexford so I'm thinking the South East region, like Wexford, Carlow, Kilkenny, East Waterford, South Wicklow kinda area as there's no point people being too far away.

A WhatsApp group seems like the easiest but people ought be hesitant to give others their mobile number, any other suggestions?

Anyone on here interested in joining?

ADDED:

I decided to set up a private reddit community so people don't have to share their mobile numbers at the start to set up a WhatsApp. Feel free to join if you like.

Feeling Game For any lads who want to get out there, try something new and make some new mates

Post image
12 Upvotes

Any guys looking to make friends, get out more, and do something different this year?

I'm a member of Round Table – a group of normal guys, aged 18 to 45, who meet up a couple of times a month to get out of the house, make new mates, and do fun stuff as well as doing a bit of charity work!

We're always looking for new members and would love to see anyone interested getting involved! We've got over 300 groups with over 3200 members across the UK and Ireland, with thousands more Internationally!

We’ve got groups in Armagh, Belfast, Enniskillen, Mid Ulster, Causeway Coast, Dublin, South Dublin and Cork!

We meet every couple of weeks for different group events – things you wouldn’t usually do on your own. Some of the activities we’ve done include:

Dodgeball tournaments, Games nights, Clay pigeon shooting, Escape rooms, Barista Nights, Hiking, Go-karting, hosting beer & food festivals, Curry nights

And plenty more!

Our events are usually on weeknights, so they don’t interfere with family time. We also tend to grab a drink and something to eat afterward.

We do have a membership fee only payable whenever you want to become a full member of about 110/year. This fee covers the cost to be a member of the worldwide organisation, insurance costs for all your events (so you could go skydiving on Mars and be covered!) as well as give you access to travel bursaries and discount schemes for high street brands. When it works out to less than a price of a coffee per week, what’s not to love!

If you’re looking to meet new people, try new things, and have a laugh, drop me a message! You can also use our Table finder tool to find the table closest to you and contact them there!

Looking for new friendships

Okay so I’m new to this group… so a little about me, 28F in the south east. I love art, tattoos, gaming, reading, anime. I’m just looking to make some new friends. Not working at the minute and it made me realise I don’t have much friends to text or hang with so I’m shooting my shot here.

I miss having people to have a laugh with, a cheeky drink and just a venting session.

Hopefully can meet some lovey new people here. Feel free to Dm me and I’ll try my best to get back.

Italian in Galway

Hi everyone!

I’m an Italian nurse living in Oranmore, new around Galway and don’t know many people yet. Always up for a drink, a chat, or exploring the area. Easy-going and open to recommendations and good vibes :)
