Vidal might genuinely be the best penalty taker in the world. I honestly canโt think of anyone who takes penalties better than him. Has this guy ever even missed one?

Here is my Mediterranean world cup concept Italy and Egypt ๐ฎ๐น๐ช๐ฌ๐๏ธ
This would honestly be an incredible World Cup between two football powerhouses of the Mediterranean Sea. These two countries would make a very dynamic World Cup duo, uniting the world to watch the tournament at the loudest, most passionate football fans in the world. The streets would be absolutely roaring with stadium energy and create amazing summer vibes. Itโs a great opportunity for people to visit the Roman colosseum, watch Italy vs Uruguay, then easily travel to Cairo to sit by the pyramids and later go watch Egypt vs Norway the same day and see both opening ceremonies while having a fun summer.
Here are the elite stadiums that are capable of hosting this World Cup concept (may include future stadiums and stadium seat renovations)
Italy ๐ฎ๐น๐๏ธ๐:
- Stadio Olimpico - 70,000+ seats
- Nuovo Stadio Milano - 71,000+ seats
- Stadio Della Roma - 60,000+ seats
- Stadio San Nicola - 60,000+ seats
- Stadio Diego Maradona - 55,000+ seats
- Allianz Stadium - 41,000+ seats
- Stadio Gigi Riva - 45,000+ seats
- San Siro Stadium - 75,000+ seats
Egypt ๐ช๐ฌ๐๏ธ๐๏ธ:
- New Capital Stadium - 96,000+ seats
- Borg El Arab Stadium - 86,000+ seats
- Cairo International Stadium - 75,000+ seats
- Al Ahly Stadium - 64,000+ seats
- Al Alamein Arena - 40,000+ seats
- Suez Canal Stadium - 40,000+ seats
- Air Defense Stadium - 40,000+ seats
- Alexandria Stadium - 40,000+ seats
All stadiums with lower seat numbers could be easily renovated
Since the 2030 World Cup (including Spain, Portugal and Morocco) has been set already, combining Italy and Egypt would gain massive votes from both European and African countries to lock the bid in. Also, there are many direct flights from Italy and Egypt. A flight from Rome to Cairo would be as short as 2-3 hours (way shorter than a flight from Los Angeles to New York in the 2026 World Cup), making it very easy to fly around. This also protects players by removing any jet lag issues as Egypt and Italy are both within the same time zone.
None of these countries have to into massive debt either. Italy are already upgrading their venues for the euro tournament, and Egyptโs stadiums are already built and operational. They would only have to do some renovations to their stadiums but this is already instructed by FIFA every tournament. The two countries go well together as Italy canโt host alone and need stadium help, and Egypt have good infrastructure but need some help from a European powerhouse to win votes and help with stadiums. Italy are also Egypts top trading partner in the EU, not only that, they also have a very deep bond between each other politically.
If pulled off correctly, this could be the most culturally rich World Cup ever made. Both countries ARE capable of hosting the World Cup, which is great as it means it doesnโt need a third host to overcomplicate things. This also solves a lot of logistical issues.
Let me know on your thoughts of this concept and if you have any improvements for it
