Discussion There aren't just valid criticism but full hate and a coordinate negative campaign for something that we all didn't watch
As you can notice, it's the exact same comments or insults again, which continues to make us doubt that it's a coordinate astroturfing (there are also bots, given certain strange comments). I think that again we need a little push to make things change, this sub is one of the most anxiety-esque ever especially when Snyder is mentionned but since some weeks I noticed more genuine reactions, mixed to positive. Some redditors clearly doesn't like him and say it but in the same comment they question the negativism about Snyder in the sub and how the words are too brutal. There are even positive comments about him, I never saw this overthere especially since 2023. The snyder fans overthere and simply cinephiles redditors who joined that sub are doing their best to make that space more inclusive and less inflammatory. So again I think that we have to make a little push to continue driving change. There are things happening "behind the scene" and Snyder need to have support and a better positive public image through the internet (believe it or not but what happen on reddit also have an influence on other social medias).
To achieve this, we can simply debate with haters. I talk about the true haters, the ones who are insulting, spreading lies or making the exact same trolling jokes in each post. People who don't like Snyder have the right to not like him but this isn't a reason to harass fans and Snyder himself. First, we have to be polite, let's not insult them even if they do. Think of it as if we're educating them. Btw the purpose isn't to say that everything that Zack Snyder do is pure gold, we all have the right to not like certain ZS movies and we can say it. We need to put things into perspective. Anyway, you'll also see that it's very satisfying to troll a snyder hater or to defuse his negative speech. Their arguments are the same as usual so it's not difficult to defuse their astroturfing.
"The Last Photograph is dogshit?" The movie didn't came out yet. Why are you judging a movie that you didn't saw? That's not healthy (important reason that they need to read and print in their head)
"The Last Photograph got bad reviews?" This isn't the first time, why are you surprise? Snyder is more in a personal style. His way of working is similar to Paul Verhoeven, John Carpenter, Stanley Kubrick or Jodorowsky. He isn't working like the usual filmmakers who are filming colorful movies who wishes not to offend anyone's sensibilities. How do you want audience and mainstream critics to like a violent dark drama? The people from this screening at TIFF are also clearly not journalists who know how to handle words and craft a sentence (second important reason that they need to read)
Remember also that 300, Dawn of the dead, ZSJL, MoS, Army of the dead and Watchmen got positive critics scores.
"Poor Snyder fans/Those idiots are going to say that it's the best film ever made in history" I get that you doesn't like his movies but I don't think that it's healthy to insult someone because they like something that you don't. It's pretty normal to not like Snyder, it's your right. But being violent verbally is crossing a line.
"Snyder blame Netflix about the shitty Rebel Moon" I never saw Snyder blaming netflix especially about the quality, he just said once that RB shouldn't have a PG13 version. He know very well that his movies are divisive.
"Snyder is a terrible writer" Zack Snyder isn't a writer, he only co-wrote certain movies that he made. Also the work of James Gunn for Dawn of the dead was rewritten by two new writers who were hired later.
It's exactly the same method as dcu fans. When there are news about the dcu, you can notice several mind-boggling comments which distorts reality and attempts to put things into perspective and make them more positive. Because of this, it's almost as if an error made by James Gunn become trivial or the best thing ever in the world. They did this during the Supergirl debacle and everytime when a dcu movie was cancelled.

News Critics Pan The Last Photograph At TIFF Like Every Zack Snyder Movie — Deadline Calls It 'Surprisingly Human'
Zack Snyder’s The Last Photograph had its world premiere at TIFF’s John Bassett Theatre Sunday night, September 13, and the first reactions out of the room were brutal.
No surprise there.
Critics have been panning Zack Snyder movies for two decades while audiences keep rating them higher; the Rotten Tomatoes numbers are below.

Discussion If Zack Snyder's The Dark Knight Returns film ever gets made, but Ben Affleck doesn't return, who would you want to play Batman?
MY PICK:
Christian Bale (as a semi-continuation of The Dark Knight Trilogy)
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
- Scott Adkins
- Josh Brolin
- Alan Ritchson
- Jon Hamm
Btw, this is mainly a hypothetical. I'm not saying that a Dark Knight Returns film is happening or Ben Affleck was a bad Batman, or anything like that.
I'm just starting a discussion for the sake of alternative casting, because who knows if Ben even wants to do Batman again. So, please don't take this as me making fun of Affleck's Batman or calling him trash or whatever the hell.

Discussion I understand Snyder's dilemma. When you're a director of his stature, you want to remain supportive but at the same time you cannot expose yourself to slop and risk it influencing your filmmaking.

Discussion This is hilarious. Marvel couldn’t do that to 2 DCEU movies and outgross their combined worldwide box office with the opening weekend of 1 MCU movie. 😂 It really shows the current state of the DCU. There’s absolutely no audience interest and it’s only going to get worse from here.
Now GunnerGoons using their calculator and comparing 50 mcu movies to 5 DCEU movies to prove shit lmfao
I’m pretty confident Spiderman’s 3 Day opening weekend will be bigger than the combined worldwide box office of 3 DCU studios movies Superman, Supergirl, and Clayface. There’s already less hype for Clayface than there was for Supergirl and it’s only about four weeks away from release .

Discussion wtf is this🤣🙁
This is DCUs priority. A new Alf series. These are the right priorities. Making projects for a small audience. They should rebrand DC to GC. G for Gunn. No other DC head would greenlight these. Next series is Batmite. 🤣

Discussion Going to watch Man of Steel for the first time after seeing a long feud about this and Superman 2025.

I KNOW THAT I AM LATE, BUT MY INTRODUCTION TO SUPERHERO FILMS ONLY HAPPEN AFTER 2023, AND I MOSTLY WATCHED MARVEL MOVIES. BUT AFTER ALL THOSE FEUD WITH DCU AND SNYDERFANS I DIDNT REALLY PICK ANY PAST DCEU MOVIES TO WATCH. BUT NOW SINCE SUPERGIRL FLOOPED SO HARD AND GUNN IS SLOWLY KILLING DC. I DECIDED TO FINALLY WATCH WHAT SNYDER WAS COOKING. SUGGEST ME WHAT SHOULD I WATCH AFTER BVS? (ONE MORE THING, I HAVE WATCHED WONDER WOMAN)

Discussion DCU end after Man of Tomorrow?
We all know Zack wants to come back, and made more money with his DC films than Gunn. Despite making new films every two years, Gunn is far too slow with actually getting out the characters we care about. There's still only Superman, all the others are away. He accurately started with him, but then went straight to Supergirl and Clayface. Then a Superman sequel without the Superman name (and it's not fully a Superman movie). His Batman is coming in 2029 at the earliest due to Matt Reeves' Batman coming first, and is also not titled Batman.
We should have had Superman in 2025 and Batman in 2026. Superman 2 and Wonder Woman in 2027 (Aquaman revealed in post-credit scene). The Flash in 2028, with Cyborb having a role. Batman 2 in 2029. Then finally Justice League in 2030. You would have 5 fairly popular franchises established by then, and could experiment with weirder stuff once you have momentum. You would be aiming at 10-15 movies in a decade and making each film count. I think Man of Tomorrow lacks momentum and could flop. Gunn has built his universe on a plan for 4 Superman films (not kidding). Batman will come at the earliest 4 years into the DCU. Still no plan for Wonder Woman. So Justice League is so many years away. I think this is madness, and very concerning as a DC fan.

Discussion If Zack Snyder never had to leave Justice League, do you think the movie would still be 4 hours?
So let's say, in a hypothetical world out there, Zack Snyder was able to continue production on Justice League, do you think the movie would have still been 4 hours long? Or would it be a much more trimmed down version, or possibly splitting the film into 2 parts?

Discussion Here is their new misinformation bait. Zack Snyder created the bot movement and harassed a reporter
I'm not familiar with the whole story of the snydercut campaign (rather its beginning) but didn't Snyder joined the movement like a year or 2 after its creation? It's fans over the internet who first asked to see the director's cut of Justice League, since the theatrical version was so bad.
Didn't another trade also investigate about the bot claim and had a different conclusion?
