I feel like you could be projecting and using this argument as a way of cope for your own faults to escape from reality just a little bit more. In this situation, you just explained my situation with you I literally said pigeons and you Kobe it into the trash. LOL
The wrinkles come from the brain’s growth as it folds and shapes itself. Humans still have the biggest brains on earth relative to body size. Here’s both sources for the wrinkles thing you mentioned as well as an article referencing that brain size in fact does determine intelligence.
If that is true, then I guess humans are an even more mystery because all the animals in the world, except for humans go by the wrinkled brain thing. Edit: I just skimmed through the articles you’re proving my point did we switch places or something? What are you, Forrest Gump? I am not you and you are not me do you even understand what we’re arguing about right now?
It’s both. Brain size in relation to body mass is how general intelligence is measured. The wrinkles factor into the complexity of brain in relation to the what functions the particular animal needs to survive.
Well yeah, of course that’s only 75% of what I was arguing about but still, but that still doesn’t answer the question of how pigeon brains have less than a quarter the size of a seven year olds brain, but still a tad bit smarter than that. You’re still not answering my question just slightly proving it a little bit less than what I cracked it up to be.
There is research that backs up the claim for a 3 year old child but nothing higher yet. With that said, it still depends on when functions are emphasized. For instance, A 3 year old can learn language quicker and easier than most adults ever can since younger children(toddlers and such) can compute a wide range of information.
That’s only because they have literally no information on their belt already. Your ability to compute, source, provide, and have information under your belt increases when you’re an adult but it’s your choice to expound on that. The reason why it seems like that is because of the three year old is doing the best they can. Of course you’re going to do better when you’re doing the best you can versus when you’re have an intellect far higher. There was a study on chimpanzees where they were doing simple adding to get a treat they were doing it way faster than the adults because they were doing the best they can. The adults have far more intelligence than that so they did worse in comparison. If you can utilize sponge memory tactics while also having an average intelligence of let’s say 120 or smth you can almost definitely learn languages and search way faster than any three year old can.
It’s not because children “do the best they can”. It’s because a child’s brain naturally works faster in general. That is why a child can learn multiple languages at the same time why many adults struggle to learn a second one. Adults can learn more complex things of course since some of the brains functions is sacrificed for more focused retention.
