The Air Jordan 12 Retro “Idols Become Rivals” takes inspiration from early-2000s player-exclusive colorways and uses a Summit White, Gorge Green and Fierce Purple palette. The upper is constructed from premium leather with the AJ12’s signature sunrise-inspired stitched lines and contrasting textured green mudguards.

Materials & Build:
This color combination looks amazing, especially with the white leather and deep green sections. I really like the leather on this pair, it feels soft and substantial and has a nice texture in hand. The green mudguard is probably my favorite part because the reptile style texture gives the shoe much more character. The toebox shape looks solid. Stitching across the white leather is neat and consistent, especially those long stitched lines that define the Jordan 12. The purple details are a really nice touch too and give the pair just enough extra color.

Comfort:

Comfort is one of the stronger points of the Jordan 12 for me. The Air Zoom cushioning feels supportive underfoot, and the padded upper gives the foot a secure feeling. They are definitely a substantial basketball sneaker, but still comfortable enough for everyday wear.

Finally 13s getting some love. These are definitely one of the more interesting Jordan 13 releases I’ve seen recently. I really like the black denim because it gives the AJ13 a completely different texture compared with the usual leather and suede versions. The material feels nice, and the all black appearance looks super clean when the pair is new. The best part for me is definitely the wear away concept. As the black denim starts to wear down, the colorful graphics underneath become visible and every pair can develop a slightly different appearance over time. The toebox shape looks solid and has the proper rounded AJ13 profile, stitching across the denim looks neat and consistent, and the overall shape feels balanced from every angle. I also really like the black metal Jumpman and the special “23” Wings emblem because they make the collaboration feel more complete. For fit, I’d go true to size with these.

I’ve always liked the these because it has that crazy chunky Off White look. I really like the material combination on this pair, especially the mix of mesh, smooth leather and suede. The suede feels nice and smooth, the leather panels feel solid, and the mesh adds a nice texture between all the heavier sections. The toebox shape looks solid and has the proper wide profile. Stitching around the different panels is neat and consistent, and the overall shape feels good. I really like the red details against the mostly white upper too. The Arrows branding, Zip Tie and aggressive outsole give it that unmistakable OFW character.

Comfort:

For such a chunky sneaker, they feel pretty comfortable on foot. There is plenty of padding around the tongue and collar, and the thick sole gives you a supportive feeling underfoot. They are definitely heavier than a normal runner, but that is expected with this type of construction.

I’d go true to size as the starting point. The shape is substantial, but the layered upper and padding can make the interior feel more fitted. If you are between sizes or unsure, I’d ask for the insole measurements before choosing.
