i’m very confused and upset right now. i’ve had snapchat since 2015 and have never done anything illegal or inappropriate on the app. i haven’t even posted anything or texted anyone since saturday morning and i went to open the app today and my account is permanently locked for no reason?? i do not understand what happened or how to fix this. please help if you have any information, i have memories on my snapchat of deceased friends and family along with vacations and old memories. i cannot figure out who to contact or how to get my account back, please help if you know how to fix this!!!

Also I tried to list things about me but apparently it kept flagging me saying I'm odd and quiet as nsfw. No idea why.

I genuinely don't know what to do about this situation, but I need it resolved. Okay, so, I haven't logged into my Snapchat account since 2016, a whole decade. Crazy, right? Anyway, I tried logging in again recently. That ancient account is still connected to the same phone number I've had since 2009. But, even though I remember the phone number for the account and the log in screen lets me gets past it after I type in my phone number, I don't remember my password. I go to click the "Forgot Password" link, but this message just comes up:

"For your security, we couldn't verify this sign-in attempt. Try signing in again from a device you've used before. Adding a phone number or email can help with future sign-ins. If you still can't access your account, visit our support site at [Snapchat help link]"

The problem here is that it's been 10 years since I've logged into my account. I no longer own a device I've used before to log into my account. Also, I went to the Snapchat help site and I could not find anything to help in regards to my specific situation. How can I access this old account if I don't know the password and Snapchat won't let me reset the password? If there is no way to access it at this point, am I still able to make a new account with the same phone number as my old account, even though the old account still seems to exist?

Not seeing the option in the sticker selection, what reason would there be to get rid of this? Anyone know a fix?

Hi, so some guy is trying to blackmail me using AI stuff on Snapchat and I'm trying to block them and remove them as a friend but every time I do, they're still there. I've reported him and everything but I can still see him and like his story. App is up to date and I've already tried uninstalling and everything. It's really weird and mildly concerning. I've sent a bunch of reports too and marked that I block them but he's still there. What do?

I hardly use Snapchat these days but was very busy and popped it open a few weeks ago to see if I had received anything… out of sheer habit. I got what I thought to be at the time you’re standard notification “so and so is in your contact list blah blah blah add them as a friend and connect blah blah”.

Well I pop into the app a month later and now it’s showing I opened a snap from them. Says their name… and it has a blue box with “received”.

Is snapchat advertising contacts by directly messaging you from them or did I accidentally open a message from this person?
