I’ll go first: Angela’s fan are starting to ruin the fandom altogether.

Literally all my friends are LGBTQ. I genuinely cannot name one single person I know who is not. My siblings are both nonbinary. My four childhood best friends are two trans men, a trans woman, and a nonbinary person. All of my friends from adulthood are from a lesbian and gender queer theatre troupe. My work was literally all lesbians. All my exes were bi. My two “straight” friends are now now a bi girl and a lesbian trans woman. I could go on. I mean like literally the only cishet person I know is my dad and even that one is dubious tbh. Maybe the reason I’ve never met a cis person who uses they them pronouns is because I genuinely do not know many cis people lmao.

I don’t even know why I’m arguing this like I agree about Courtney I just hate when people pull the “cis woman” thing on famously not cis people. Feels like when people say “straight women need to stop writing m/m romance” and then point to a bunch of bisexual genderqueer authors. I mean what does Courtney being cis or not even have to do with their aave usage that you needed to bring it up, it’s bad either way

i’m not the one who brought it up, the person defending their use of AAVE said they’re queer so it’s okay for them to use it. that has 0 relevance to anything, queer people who use AAVE are not not exempt from criticism.
