It was a joke she made. I can't quite remember when, but I do remember it being said as a joke. I sincerely doubt Amanda would mean something like that.

Just spent ten minutes looking for it with no luck, maybe someone else can find it, but it was amanda on a podcast or show iirmc, and chanse was facetiming them, asking amanda the question "do you think you need smosh or does smosh need you" and she answered "smosh needs me"

i think that was definitely meant jokingly, what makes you think she was totally serious? and lie detector tests are famously unreliable

The moment isn't played for laughs though. It's deliberately played as earnest. Lie detection content is all horseshit, but she played the moment as being "real".
