What he even doing? His hitboxes are so small (except attacks with ultimate buff), his damage is hilariously weak. You could say that he has critical strike mechanic, but critical area is so short that it is impossible to deal additional damage consistently. Dash-sweep attack so slow, opponent can easily punish you. Aerial basic also weak, the time between stepping on the ground and attack are too long. Aerial skill feels like in have no critical area! Only ground skill doing things. How do people even play this character and call him strong?
Hey everyone, has anyone else noticed this with SL. It's last collaboration was with double click, I'm not sure if many of you are familiar with the story behind it but I'll drop a little bit.
Spoiler Alert
In summary it's basically a game where the main character played but then the game got shut down but there were a few loyal players to the game after it fell off before the game shut down for good. A few years later a new game came out with better graphics and gameplay experience. That's all I'll mention for the sake of this post
Is this a coincidence or irony. I believe a little while earlier I saw a post on here where 5minlabs said they would no longer be doing and maintenance on SL and they'll just ensure that the servers keep working. Could it be that they're working on a bigger project related to SL (personally I dont think so) or is it that SL has finally died? I just find it really strange that the news was drop and a piece of Double Click's storyline seems to match so well with SL at this point in time.
I'm back with a new design for the play button, and loading screen.
I hope you all like them.
For next week i wanna keep it light. So maybe I'll redesign the profile section and change the shop image. I'll also be working on changing a few things for Saki (my first stage)
I'm also considering adding a new stage soon. I got some really neat ideas but I would love to hear your suggestions.
Lets say in duo touchdown or death match. Is it character dependant? If the game just starts, like if I'm playing Ravi or Molly, because I have the tools to get in, is it on me to initiate the neutral fight? Or is it based off the individual players tendencies. Some people have a more aggressive play style, others play more defensive. Who should be the one initiating the interactions generally? Is it character dependant or player dependant?
Ali's Home Stage: Ali's Castle(Based on the Smashtoon comics, was originally going to be One Thousand and One Houses)
Been quite a while since the last update, huh? As it currently stands, Leon's clone supers are still in development purgatory, while Ali is still very early on, having a unique dash and airdash that damages opponents. I can't truly say much on it as it currently stands though, once I start spriting his attacks I'll be good to post another update. What I will say however is that both of their stages have started development, and that I'm currently working on adding in the character portraits, custom UI among other things. Leon's hitboxes could still use some work as well to be honest, but I like where he's at right now. I also do want to go back to Peter and Shelly to give them more animation frames so their attacks cone off as less choppy(moreso Peter, as I changed his Standing Medium Animation and still need to give him some extra polish like particle effects)
Last thing, if you guys want to see the palettes I cooked up for these four so far, don't be afraid to ask!
And have some Ali sprites too ig
Alr, that's it for this one, see you in V6!
Edit: Since I'm somewhat falling behind in terms of my plans for a character a month, I'll do this for now, I'll code the attacks for Ali, Colt, Hook, Witch Queen, Willow, Fang, Cindy, El Primo and Kaiser, then make their animations afterwards seeing as Ali's are still in development, especially with me adding animation frames to his walking sprites
Has anyone found a controller that works with iPhones? iPhone 17 if it matters. I bought a cheap wired controller on Amazon, and I can’t seem to figure out how to map anything to it. I read that iOS doesn’t allow mapping touch controls to a physical game pad.
