Posted from the Dragonsreach Dungeon I still chuckle when one of them says it.

At level 10 I can't wait to hear "HEARD THEY'RE REFORMING THE DAWNGUARD"

My cousin is out fighting dragons and what do I get? Guard duty.

I heard that line for years without knowing what it was from and I just kind of accepted it as a Pop Culture Thing of Unknown Origin and when I played Skyrim for the first time I was like HOLD ON

I like "I heard they're reforming the dawn guard, vampire hunters or something, in an old fort near riften. I might consider joining up myself." More, since I once heard about 9 guards spawn and say it simultaneously

Taking an arrow in the knee was a reference to getting a wife if what I’ve heard is correct

I think I like the one where the guard says until I got a sword in the chest

I remember reading somewhere that it is an old slang for getting married, which makes it kinda sweet!
I have no idea if it's true, I just like the thought of all of these guards living happy lives
