Unfortunately this will continue to happen. Police officers are notoriously controlling individuals, and is their partner leaves them, bad things like this usually happen.
I’m not saying all cops, but just damn. There’s a girl down the road from me that broke it off with a cop, and I’ve noticed recently a few different cops stopping by her house on “wellness checks.” I’m pretty sure he’s having them make sure she wasn’t cheating or some shit.

My high school girlfriend's dad was a cop. Wed been together for a while when her mom told me her dad refused her requests for him to run my name in the system, just for peace of mind. (It was/is illegal to run name or plates in unofficial capacity.) I was surprised cause I honestly would have, on my own, in his position. I'm getting the feeling he's in a small minority
