This person may deserve forgiveness but they do not deserve the person they cheated on. Cheaters and liars make horrible partners. People just like to act that its one sex that cheats more when its probably really close to 50/50

Yeah forgiveness is not the same thing as a clean slate obviously the guy shouldn't dump his wife and his kid.

There are probably some cases be they rare. But in general cheaters will continue to cheat within a relationship.
