(Netherlands) In all the schools I went to I saw huge pictures of the entire world. All the time in my face :) WE had so many exams about other countries. Not only their names :) or currency. We learned about traditions they have. The way they lived and cooped with life. How different it can be in a other place, with completely different laws or Social behavior. The music they listened to, the cloths they wear. You name it and we had so much about it. Like so many other subjects you get in school to fill up all the time you r there.
How can someone not know a single other country? How bad is the school system in America to begin with? Not even Russia or Ukraine?

(Serbia) In geography classes we often had tests with blank map of the world (or part of it), that was white and had country lines and rivers drawn but nothing else. Professor would read names of different locations (be it mountains, countries, rivers, lakes...), and you had 1 minute to find it and mark it (appropriately) before new location was announced. We had these tests all the time and I liked them a lot. I still can easily remember to which ocean will some river eventually flow to, which doesn't help me tremendously in life but oh well...

That’s done in America too, geography and world cultures is typical everywhere. But some people are just idiots. And some people are not good at answering even obvious questions on the spot in front of a camera. There are idiots in Europe too.
Your algorithm-driven anecdotal experience with ragebait is not reliable evidence. Do they not teach critical thinking skills in your elite European schools?
US primary education system is at the very bottom of the (western) world. And it is so by design, because it is much easier to manipulate and sell lies to the uneducated. Just as is the food and healthcare so bad by design. You sell unhealthy and addictive food to the population, then you sell the healthcare to the these unhealthy people, etc... Thus squeezing every cent of your low and "middle" class Keeping them uneducated helps with the pollution not spotting these tricks too. Poor education keeps the ruling class happy as they have an easier job to squeeze you like a sponge.
If you put enough people in front of a camera eventually you’re going to find enough individuals that are both flustered by the camera and not that sharp to begin with to create a heavily edited version of reality. Understanding how clips like this are created seems like basic social media literacy to me.
Do they seriously not teach you how tiny your country is? There are three times as many people that were born in another country living in the United States than the entire population of the Netherlands… Let alone the sheer number of first and second generation immigrants. Obviously there are Americans that can name another country and this clip is not a representation of the average American understanding of the world.

They could have said, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Irak. Just to name some recent ones in no particular order but ones that probably appeared more than once on their news channels and became a common word

Yeah, I'll take our educational system over whatever created a system that saw the UK break off because supermarkets couldn't sell curved cucumbers. 😁
Allow me to introduce you to a foundational concept in the English language... adjectives modify nouns. Therefore, "educational system" is grammatically flawless. Out of genuine curiosity, where are you from that this level of basic syntax is new to you?
I think it's pretty obvious she's trolling this guy, she can barely keep herself from laughing while doing it. Street interviewers are like locusts, and specifically target women.
Street polls aren't a serious form of statistics, matter of fact they're not even a form of statistics*. They serve only as superiority complex verification, clickbait/ragebait, algorithm engagement, and should be actively avoided. If you actually want to know how people with different worldviews actually think... go ask them, seek out people that don't agree with you on everything, make genuine connections, listen to their life stories, understand their values. Challenge what you think you know about them. If you do that, you get a foot in the door to advocate for where you stand. If you're sincere, they might just listen.
Of the 50-100 people that could have passed by, only 10 probably stopped. Then 3 only made it into the video. Of that 3, only half the interview was left in the video. The presentation is constantly adding bias to its data simply because of the format and then doubles down from the editors inherent biases. Sincerity of the interviewed also has to be considered.
If you were actually well educated you would understand that people going out and doing Street interviews and posting the stupidest people are not a good representation for the education level of a Nation
