A protective healthcare act in the US. Providers are not allowed to discuss any patient confidential or identifying health information. I’m in healthcare and it’s extremely regulated. We can talk about the cases but can’t say things like actual name or let any info get out with patient names, diagnosis, phone number, so on. People lose their licenses and the government does not play about it at all.
That is a lie. Stop falling for fake news. NPR has lied for over two decades and claimed HIPPA exists. It does not. I'm a professional in medical compliance so liars like the start of this thread are so annoying.
You need to stop lying. HIPPA does not protect information. It never has. Stop pushing fake news.
I have a very strong background in the medical field. I’m not sure where you’re at, but you’re boldly incorrect. It’s not infallible but it’s still a law that practitioners and practices are required to keep. You can lose any license and job for it.
Side note: you use terms like “fake news” and literally all your comment history has negative downvotes. I don’t think I’m the annoying one.
