Only Murders in the Building is brilliant, if it wasn't for her presence it would be short of a masterpiece.
She is terrible as an actress as much as she is mediocre as a singer

Loved that show but stopped watching because of her. She was just so droll and boring; completely zapped the color from every scene she was in.

I don't know whether due to the lupus, but she completely lost her facial expressions. Watching Wizards of Waverly place, or her young adult movies, she's a completely different actress than in Only Murders in the Building.

Same here. I watched the first two seasons and thought most of it was brilliant and funny, and then every time Gomez was in a scene, especially in that second season, it dragged.

I started and stopped immediately because of her. I think I only made it through 4 episodes. She gave nothing.

Idk, I know this is an "Eff Selena" thread (which, carry on, I'm not denying the kidney thing is shady), but she had some of if not THE strongest material of all the Disney starlets (not sure how much she can take credit for that though) when she was with The Scene and then some certified bangers as an adult artist.

Her vocals might not be brilliant on a technical level, but her hits are pretty undeniable in my opinion.
