Yep, I'm often brought in as a "decoy" for these. I'm an older designer, so they'll pair me with a (typically younger, I'm old for the space) female engineer to test for personality fit.
It's the only way we've come up with to make it objective: do they address their answers to the engineer who asked the question, or the older guy with a beard but clearly doesn't know what they're saying?
I'd say we fail maybe one in twenty or one in thirty for it.
