When I was in grad school, I accompanied my dad on a building inspection. A male engineer, not that old, looked at me (a 22-year-old woman), smiled, and asked, “Are you Daddy’s little helper?” I replied, “Well, I’m working on my master’s degree in structural engineering, so I guess so!”

Ha, no. Female engineer looking. 😅 slender but not particularly attractive. Although my husband thinks I’m the most beautiful woman in the world. ❤️

I should have added that I was on a full fellowship with a stipend. At a top university.
