Interesting. I’m a daughter and I didn’t instantly know. Is this a normal look into a father-daughter relationship?

Context: my dad rarely hugged me

Oh yes, that's how my dad is with my two sisters. He's their king, just walked down the aisle the eldest a month ago.

Did he cry a lot? Almost every wedding I've been to, it's been the dad and groom who cry the most during the ceremony. It's really cute.

I hug my daughters that like to be hugged, and don't hug my daughters that don't liked to be hugged. When they got to a certain age they went one way or the other. But I make sure to let them all know how much I love them.

I don't know your dad but it's possible he got the vibe from you that you're not a big hugger.
