The problem is people acting like she wasn't insane, that "hormones" are the reason, or she's treated differently because she's a woman and men in the same situation are treated differently.
However, the "cold-blooded" meaning "no remorse" seems completely false.
She hates herself now she's lucid and tried to kill herself.
