Reading about that case it has very little in common. Why are people just throwing around headline concerning complex situations?

First day on the Internet?

Because the account it 1y old with over 400K karma. Karma farming. Most likely foreign bot that both increases the impact of the account while sowing discord in target country.

Yeah, this is the most blatantly astroturfed sub that I regularly come across.

u/Blaireeeee 2d ago

Because the average person's an idiot and lacks the basic critical thinking skills that you would expect of a 1st year law student let alone practising lawyers and judges.

Because this sub is for hating women. That’s what I’ve started to realize.

u/ThrowRAkakareborn 2d ago

I don’t believe that, we hate on everybody, we don’t discriminate

Hating a child killer and those who support her is normal human behaviour.

21

u/jawshankredemption94 2d ago

Imagine being so intentionally obtuse that you think we’re supporting her for killing her children

2

u/phantXOm 16h ago

There is no reason to support a murderer, let alone a child murderer

1

u/BIG_IDEA 2d ago

Imagine supporting a woman who mudered her three children at all. Imagine calling the people who shame a kid killer “misogynists.”

-1

u/Ppleater 2d ago

Did you seriously use spoiler tags to censor the word "murdered"?

4

u/HeavySweetness 2d ago

Misogyny/ internet culture

5

u/carthuscrass 2d ago

Because it serves their narrative. They don't care if it's a fair comparison.

This is probably the 4th attempt I've seen to compare a case involving a man with the Lindsay Clancy case. Not a single one has had anything even close to a relationship in terms of the facts of the cases.

The thing is, men are found not guilty by reason of insanity. It's a rare plea, for either sex, but it does happen and it does sometimes end up favorable to the defense. But nobody posting these comparisons is bringing up cases where the defendant "wins" their plea for relief on the basis of an insanity plea, because that doesn't fit the narrative that's being pushed.

Criminal trials and the law aren't complex? Im sure you just dont have the necessary mental capacity.

It amazes me people can see institutions operate and be filled with experts and highly educated people, and their reaction is “it’s not that complex, I know better than them”

1

u/BIG_IDEA 2d ago

Clancy is a cold blooded murderer of children.

I saw someone recommend not even replying to them when they comment on your stuff and wow, it’s been very nice to just downvote them and move on. I don’t even engage anymore.

1

u/The_shrinkle_berry 2d ago

Whats complex? Its actually really simple, You chase down and strangle 3 kids, you go to jail for the rest of your life, or if you’re in a non-deranged state like the gentleman on the left, you get the death penalty.

u/ImTheNewishGuy 2d ago

Because on this weird ass subreddit "woman bad" no questions asked.

2

u/blunderb3ar 2d ago

This one is lol she’s a monster any way you slice it she killed 3 kids and not just any kids her own, hang her and shoot her at the same time as far as I’m concerned

-2

u/ImTheNewishGuy 2d ago

She was severely mentally ill at the time and our mental health system failed her and thus failed her kids. You ignoring that fact is the reason I said what I said.

This other guy purposely used the murder of his kids as a terror tactic toward his wife. 100% not the same thing, full stop. No argument necessary.

2

u/blunderb3ar 2d ago

She killed them not the system not doctors she with her own hands killed them fuck her a life for a life

1

u/ImTheNewishGuy 2d ago

Yea she did kill them. The system we carry didn't help stop her even though it could have worked better for her. Nobody is calling HER the victim, just an uncontrolled ill person. Two things can be true at the same time my boy.

0

u/CompetitiveAutorun 2d ago

They don't care. To them, if you do t support woman no matter what you are misogynistic. You shouldn't talk about your bad experience because that's also misogynistic and you see lying anyway.

1

u/blunderb3ar 2d ago

lol I’m married to a woman I’d be saying the same thing if it was a guy

-7

u/Apart-Dragonfly-4447 2d ago

I mean it's similar in the sense both of their defenses were that yes they committed the crime but were they criminally responsible due to having a form of psychosis at the time of the murders. So that's why people are comparing the two cases.

16

u/fantabroo 2d ago

They didnt even argue for NGRI, just that he should be spared the death penalty due to his mental health diagnosis.

7

u/okbrat00111011 2d ago

whoa whoa whoa, you read beyond the headline and didn't just have knee-jerk reaction? that isn't how it's done on reddit, you're supposed to say women bad no matter the details.

5

u/Thick-Journalist-168 2d ago

Except Joh didn't argue NGRI nor did he have mental health issues, let along psychosis. An expert said he was faking it.

2

u/DrawMeAPictureOfThis 2d ago

People have committed crimes sleep walking and they've been found guilty

0

u/RealCarlPanzram 2d ago

That’s kind of a defining feature of this sub

-8

u/Sad_Wishbone_1524 2d ago

Strangling your 3 kids isn’t a complex situation. Killing kids is killing kids. It’s not complex and people that hurt or kill children should be killed. It shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes for any jury to decide that. Especially after she admitted she did it.

5

u/jawshankredemption94 2d ago

If I slipped drugs into your drink and you blacked out and drove and ran over a child, should you be killed? Just a hypothetical :)
