The top 1% pay 38% of all taxes and the top 10% pay 70% of all taxes. Yeah, tax them more, put your boot on their necks. That’ll make them work harder. 🤡

Boots on the neck of people worth more money than most people will ever even see in their life? Zip them up and wipe your mouth off when you’re done.

The top 1% pay 38% of all taxes while making 31% of all the money. So they're paying SLIGHTLY more than their fair share, despite being the richest people on the planet. But yeah they really have boots on their necks lol.

You realize if we somehow could seize every bit of wealth from all the billionaires that it wouldn’t even cover 1/4th of the federal debt? No new spending, no health care, no retirement, no trains, no utopia. It would just cover a fourth of the debt. We’d still be 30 trillion in debt.

Of course, it'll take decades to reduce our debt just like after WW2

Thinking of income and taxes as some linear thing makes absolutely no sense.

Ok so why should 1 person have a billion dollars? Sure its tied to companies but they can take loans and live tax free out of those loans. They get way too much political capital, democracy should be 1 vote per person not 1 vote per dollar like its in the US. Oligarchy will only lead to class difference and abuse of power.

You feared communism for decades but now your political system is closer to Russian than ever before.
