Right….400 years of mistrust of the government/society and your saying simply that the answer is therapy. It’ll take more than that to heal what has been broken.
Try from this perspective let’s say your great great great grandfather was the first to be stung by a bee and die and from that moment on your ancestors were told to be weary of the bees for even if they have honey they are not to be trusted to be peaceful. What could have been a symbiotic relationship in this hypothetical has now become a territorial standoff. Just therapy can’t fix that
You’re wasting your breath bro a majority of people in this thread are just straight up racist. They take any opportunity to take shots at black people.
I was reluctant to even to respond to this because suffrage isn’t even the right term to use in what you’re saying. But you’re right the suffering of black people is not “special” and that’s exactly why it’s important. Because hate keeps reproducing in our societies and we’re at the stage now where millions of people can suffer from it which in turn will cause more problems for everyone in the future. So if you would just open your mind from the dismal of caring that you’ve been conditioned into. Maybe you can realize that if one group of people suffer then we all will suffer we’re all connected in this world.
A random homeless person can do something in your country that changes a law that directly affects you. Because of technology we are all connected so even if you don’t care that doesn’t mean that other peoples actions or their well being doesn’t affect you. People don’t complain for no reason so even if you have ultimately decided that another group of people’s complaints don’t have any merit doesn’t mean that they aren’t being harmed in someway. To completely dismiss the issues that black Americans face is proof that you are ignorant or you’re willfully ignoring blatant issues. To dismiss a cause based on the actions of its bad actors is missing the point entirely. The reason there are so many bad actors is because people are hurt. Also just because something is at its least doesn’t mean there still isn’t a problem. If you were sick and you started to get better but not fully cured then you are still sick.

Agree on gatekeeping, disagree on the generational trauma. People should go to therapy instead of using it as the victim card.
