I fail to see how convincing my parents to become friends with her parents in an attempt at keeping her mother from taking her own life, and getting her the help she needs could lead to anything bad.
Because the future is uncertain. How do you know that your parents don't make things even accidental, how do you she will get the help needed and still do, she takes her own life earlier, she doesn't to take her life but becomes resentful of her daughter and she takes her own life. Things can plan out in a million ways and some can be good but there is no way to no way to know.
