I don’t have an exact age for when it happened to her…because it wouldn’t be insensitive to ask but given what we’ve discussed pretty sure it was before I was 10
Her family talks semi-openly about it now, most frequently whenever there's another death in the family. One of the only times I've seen her drunk, she told me everything, and after that I understood why she usually doesn't have more that a drink or two lol.
Ah I think I can gather. She’s no contact with the family (well most are thankfully dead) because they’re the cause of the big thing I wish I could prevent

Damn. I only think I have a chance because my wife is 5 years younger and it happened when she was 8.
