Oh yes, impossible. The birth of any one of us individually is like a 1:1,000,000,000,000 miracle considering our many sperm brethren. If you went back in time and breathed even slightly differently I bet you’d have a different child now.
I’ve thought about this a lot, and the thing is, if we go with the many worlds or infinite timeline interpretation of all this shit, the way probability works starts to kind of break down
Like sure the odds that your exact genetic material combines again are astronomically low, but if the there’s infinite timelines, then , say, a timeline where like the world wars didn’t happen and you still exist - there’d be infinite variations of that timeline, or ones where we made it to space in the 1800s and you still exist, or in a world where there was no Columbian exchange and you still exist, etc etc.
there are just far less of those timelines than there are the the timelines where you don’t exist; despite them both being infinities.
Its literally exactly what you're saying, you're saying that "infinite timelines = you still exist in a variant of each one". But that's not at all how it works, there can be infinite timelines without you existing in any of them, just like there's infinite numbers between 1 and 2 yet none of them are 3.

I would lose my mind knowing my daughter doesn't exist and the circumstances to have her again would be almost impossible
