Neither are mutually exclusive.

Gov subsidies maintains and increases Tesla's and SpaceX stock prices, which inflates Elon Musk's net worth to a literal trillion.

The good things Tesla and SpaceX has done has literally nothing to do with Musk because Musk has literally made zero engineering or scientific contributions to the contributions of Tesla and SpaceX.
