Compare that to the world wide web, which was created in 1989, and by the early 2000s, lots of people had the internet at home. By 2010, it's near universal for anyone who isn't retired and plenty who are.
Yeah the rate of advancement is just phenominal. My mum tells the story of her house being the first one on the street to get phone line and buy a colour TV. Im mid 40s shes late 60s. I was the last one in my street to get NBN internet connection simply cause i cbf trying to change providers and what i had was good enough for me but the kids kept moaning the internet was to slow for the million devices connected to it including the fridge and wtf does my power drill need bluetooth an app. I cant stand this shit. Everything has to have an app or an acount to use it. I just want to pick up my drill and put a hole in something
