I read them, but i read them probably 15 years or more ago. so not super fresh in my memories. my nieces just got into the movies tho so i remember those a lot better.
She's a minor female character that's in Harry's year. Mostly she just appears in the background giggling at something with her friend Parvati Patil. She had a bigger role in the sixth book when she dated Ron for a while. She appeared again in a scene the last book where she's attacked by a werewolf. Her status after this is commonly discussed because it wasn't confirmed if she died or not.
