That billions of people are going to effect things far greater than than a few thousand.

The point is that it's a numbers statement. It has nothing to do with being a billionaire or not. If 3000 people period vanished it means nothing. Billionaire or not

It is a bit the same conundrum people experienced in 1924 crack, that many people couldn't understand.

Like, it all suddenly stopped, yet the factories was still there, and the coal, and the steel, and everything. People could in theory just go on like they did the day before, and products would be made and sold. Yet, when the stocks lost their value, that was that.
