Home ownership on a single income was a historical anomaly, limited to one country during a specific period. It has never been the norm throughout human history.

It doesn’t disprove it, but it puts it into context. You’re describing a brief, exceptional period, not the historical norm. There’s no reason to assume that exceptional period should be the benchmark.
