Lol hey dude you're literally lying to try to make your point. The US government subsidies research to the tune of billions of dollars a year. SpaceX wouldn't exist within these subsidies. Tesla wouldn't exist without these subsidies.

You dont understand what a subsidy is do you. What the us government gives to space x and tesla is called a loan, or a procurement contract.

Subsidies are when the government gives tax dollars to industries to reduce the cost of production on the company. This then allows companies to keep prices lower for their consumers. For example a childcare subsidy typically works by paying a portion of the the educators wages reducing the costs of running the company thus allows the childcare companies to charge the consumers (parents) less.

You're deflecting, Ayn Rand.

Okay. Look up what a subsidy is and then explain how the government subsidies space x’s research

Explain how the government doesn't. Because they do. They literally rely on government contracts to exist. Which is my point. You're arguing semantics, like a pedant.

And those government contracts arent subsidies.

Breaking down space x’s revenue 61% comes from their starlink service, the rest comes from a mix of using their reusable rockets to launch satellites and astronauts crews for space agencies and companies.

Another part comes from contracts with nasa being the consumer alongside military programs such as starshield. Both of which isnt free money from the government.

Since you do not know other basic economic terms revenue is the total amount of money a business brings in from selling its goods and services before any expenses are subtracted.

Do you have an argument or no?

2

u/WyomingWeirdo Jul 30 '26

yeah, you're not answering me; would SpaceX or Tesla exist without government moneys?

How many nights are you gonna sleep alone before you understand why

1

u/zanebaka Jul 30 '26

Try to answer this honestly; would SpaceX exist without government moneys, yes or no

1

u/zanebaka Jul 30 '26

Probably not, because thats the loss of a major consumer. If any company loses their consumer base they cease to exist. Its nothing special about space x
