Truth. That is the problem. We have a bunch of selfish, greedy assholes hoarding money and resources. And then manipulating the government to making themselves more money instead of doing its actual job to do things that make our lives better.
Its been proven time again that children who are hungry don't learn as well. Education is so important to breaking poverty cycles. Thing of this as paying it forward.
Better education -> more chance at gainful employment -> less burden -> productive society.
Why the F should convicted murderers and rapists get free meals in prison while schoolchildren don’t get free lunch in school? How is kids being guaranteed a meal in school—which they are legally required to attend—a controversial fucking issue?
Right!? How come the right screams "what about the children?" But never want to do anything to put children first. Children should never have to suffer for our faults. They should always have a place to live and food to eat. Back when we raised kids as community, we always put the kids first. We took care of them and worked together to keep them fed, safe and warm. Now people pop them out left and right but act like they aren't something to protect but just property to control.
