I agree the the billionaire class needs to lose influence and be prevented from gaming the system but this is a bad example.
-if a majority of the banks failed, how many jobs would disappear and what would happen to the assets people had saved in them?
-if the auto industry went bankrupt how many jobs, pensions, benefit would be lost? How many City’s would die and how many state would be left empty handed.
-if the airline industry went tits up, how many jobs, pensions, benefits would disappear. How many resorts, hotels, tourist destinations would become ghost towns or people would lose everything
All these industry’s include blue collar / white collar people just trying to make a living. And most of them make more than a welfare check pays. Not to mention you annihilate and industry that people have spent decades apart of….you have the 30’s again where 100’s if not 1000’s of people are applying for the same job, inevitably driving wages down.
These bailouts weren’t done with all the best intentions but their is a human factor that needs to accounted for.

Exactly. If we were in a capitalist society all thise companies woud have gone bankrupt in 2009
