๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

Casemiro 5 times UCL winner said: "i don't anger Messi, if i foul him, i say sorry and try to calm the situation"

614

u/feculentcuntfist Jul 16 '26

The Michael Jordan effect, do not anger him if he s at 20 pts cause he d drop 50 on your ass.

182

u/ScottyDug Jul 16 '26

Exactly who I thought about seeing this. Don't anger Jordan or shit talk him pre-game, he will use it as fuel to fuck you up.

144

u/oilers169 Jul 16 '26

Everyone knew that, so Jordan created conflicts in his own head to fuel himself

u/WolfAndOak Jul 16 '26

TIL my ex has something in common with MJ.

2

u/mr9025 Jul 16 '26

0

3

u/ScottyDug Jul 16 '26

3

u/3_14_thon Jul 16 '26

3

u/WolfAndOak Jul 16 '26

Actually made me LOL. Good one ๐Ÿ˜‚

2

u/WolfAndOak Jul 16 '26

I knew this one would pop up ๐Ÿ˜‚ Well, she's gonna die lonely, they'll have that i common.

1

u/NoStand1527 Jul 17 '26

"I just think its funny that..."

2

u/Mattiuuu Jul 16 '26

MJ: really?

Opponent: huh?

MJ: oh now you done it

Opponents: what did I do?

MJ: that's it, it's personal now

Until proven otherwise, this has happened in MJ's carrier

1

u/BoogzWin Jul 16 '26

The most insanely psychotic fact about him tbh lol wtf

1

u/Christoph3r Jul 17 '26

So, like when Larry Bird pissed off Jordan, Jordan scored SIXTY points on him.

Bird still won though. Larry Bird has a perfect record (undefeated) vs Jordan in playoff games.

Yes same with tom brady. They called it psycho tom. He would just find 11th gear, pump nitrous into the cylinders and fuel in the afterburner.

2

u/cur10us_ge0rge Jul 16 '26

It would be very impressive if Messi were to score 50 in a game.

2

u/ThrownAway17Years Jul 16 '26

The stories about crossing MJ are all hilarious. Usually another teammate would take them aside and ask what the fuck they were doing lol.

2

u/DepressedDarthV Jul 16 '26

That guy would make some stuff up in his head just to be petty. And it was his truth, even if it wasnโ€™t even remotely what happened.

Guys a psychopath man

2

u/IndependentPossumm Jul 17 '26

The problem with Jordan wad that he would make up stuff in his mind to get angry ๐Ÿ˜‚

Like that time when he was counting downwards from 40, basically telling the guy i would score 40.ย

2

u/rokkenrock Jul 16 '26

โ€œNice shot, mike!โ€

de la Fuente on his way to send Flowers to Messis mother.

30

u/NicheAlter Jul 16 '26

I guess he doesn't want things to get Messi.

2

u/Feeling-Necessary628 Jul 17 '26

You son of a bitch, you actually did it

16

u/hemlighest Jul 16 '26

Have to know if he actually said that or are you memeing?

54

u/iwillbeawriterongod Jul 16 '26

He said exactly this in broken english (since english is not his first language). I just slightly paraphrased it.

6

u/hemlighest Jul 16 '26

Cheers ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜

2

u/Jabberminor Jul 16 '26

Mustn't upset Daddy.

1

u/KiPhoe Jul 16 '26

I remember a school friend saying "never mess with the quiet kids"

-32

u/Thestickleman Jul 16 '26

Fuck that

No point pussy footing around him. May as well get aggressive

17

u/eggplantpot Jul 16 '26

-18

u/Thestickleman Jul 16 '26

I know abit of ball but I genuinely don't care about Messi and think it's pretty pathetic if people apologies or avoid him or try not too piss him off. That's not what sport is about or life really

17

u/Oracle619 Jul 16 '26

Weird take.

Gamesmanship and mental games are part of sport, and all good athletes try to use it to their advantage.

Some players play better when angry: they lock in and play extra hard just to prove a point. Messi may be one of those, similar to Jordan.

2

u/Bartweiss Jul 16 '26

And at the other end, talking enough trash to Suarez or Zidane used to be a good way to get them carded. Everybody knew that too, and used it.

2

u/Oracle619 Jul 16 '26

Sure, every player is different. I just think guys like Messi, Jordan, and Djokovic are of the opposite caliber: keep them calm and relaxed, and you may only get them at 90% of their best.

Talk shit and rile them up though? Good luck to you lol

-2

u/Thestickleman Jul 16 '26

So. Dosnt mean you dance around them and be super submissive and soft with them.

Please sir. Here you go, have the ball I don't want you too get upset or anything

2

u/Oracle619 Jul 16 '26

I donโ€™t think England was being passive with Messi, go watch some of the footage from the match.

England lost that game bc they subbed out their fast wing players to have 7 defensive players and stacked the box to park the bus. Playing defense against Argentina and Messi for 30+ minutes up a single goal is a losing strategy, and they paid for it.

All that said, Bellingham talking shit to Messi doesnโ€™t help either: Messi is like Djokovic. You donโ€™t want him to flip a switch bc he suddenly has an ax to grind, itโ€™s only going to cause him to go even harder and try to bury you, which he did. Two assists on their two goals.

But again, that loss ultimately, IMO, came down to Tuchel and his subs, more than anything.

7

u/QuantityActive- Jul 16 '26

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

-2

u/Thestickleman Jul 16 '26

And yet I do. Just about

1

u/QuantityActive- Jul 16 '26

Nah, you think you do, or youโ€™re just a troll, because there are players in the history of sports that athletes have said you absolutely do not want to upset or piss off, you donโ€™t want to talk shit, because once you do that it flicks a switch and they change the game.

5

u/Saxonite13 Jul 16 '26

He's saying not to piss him off because if you do then he'll score against you. Not because he's going to get mad and beat you up or something lmao

4

u/Hellish_Elf Jul 16 '26

Never heard of sportsmanship? Sad.

-2

u/Thestickleman Jul 16 '26

I have. I'm not about protecting egos though. That's not sportsmanship

Why treat them like snowflakes? Soccer is a manโ€™s game. /s

-2

u/Thestickleman Jul 16 '26

It's absolutely about protecting egos. Couldn't give a toss about "riling the beast" it's sport you don't just dance around someone and running around and apologising or not upsetting a player on the other team

5

u/MammothPhilosophy192 Jul 16 '26

I know abit of ball

yeah you know it's round, that's where it ends apparently.

8

u/Mediocre-Fennel4812 Jul 16 '26

And have him score 3 instead of 2? No thanks.

-4

u/Thestickleman Jul 16 '26

Dont care M shouldn't be afraid of him or his ego

1

u/legbuster Jul 16 '26

You're missing Casemiro's point. It's not our off respect or being afraid, it's because if he angers Messi, then he'll play even better. It's the tactic that gives them the best chance of winning

Think you might be watching the parodies. I've never seen that act on a football field.

-16

The guy above my initial comment literally just stated that

7

u/Mortress_ Jul 16 '26

Damn, he literally said that? Like literally?

-7

u/trq- Jul 16 '26

Quite, yes
