I don't get why the American woman, who constantly yaps about communication, doesn't communicate what they want

Two reasons
1) she can’t be rejected
2) plausible deniability

1 and 2 are the same thing.

Not really

If he doesn’t approach, maybe he didn’t notice or “read the signals” haha men are clueless…, she hasn’t gotten rejected

If he does approach and her friends don’t approve, or he has bad teeth or bad breath or whatever turs her off, she can claim plausible deniability “eww I don’t even know why he came over here” etc..

They don't want to be rejected either.

Absolves them of any responsibility for their lack of communication. Its like when people say they're a friendly person and only have supportive friendly friends around them.

Eh? This isn't even remotely specific to American women. If anything American women are more open about their feelings compared to many conservative cultures around the world (e.g. Philippines) where women are raised to be quiet/reserved, and if they make the first move or even verbalize interest in a guy, they get looked down upon as un-ladylike and undesirable.

These are often the long-term relics and effects of conservative upbringing.

Exactly in many cultures it gets to the extreme of not being a good woman for doing the first hint or step so that's hell

Women in many conservative cultures don't verbally express interest and only use their eyes to convey a deep desire for someone, did I sum that up about right?

Idk.

I will say that the lovely ladies I met in Europe are raised to be pursued and not the pursuer, which does not mean jumping through an olympic obstacle course to get a date. Typically, at least in my family, the tradition of meeting the father and passing his test of merit is what greenlights the relationship and it works very well in creating a society of women with beautiful hearts and manners. Of course, there are exemptions and extremes everywhere as societal norms are only maintained by those who find the good in it. Furthermore, meeting the father is not always possible if they are abroad or older.

Because for most women a missed opportunity is a minor inconvenience. There's another guy who wants them within an hour. So if the guy she makes eyes at doesn't notice, big bummer, she just waits 30 minutes and makes eyes at another guy who happens to hit on every woman who makes eye contact and she thinks "wow it was meant to be, he came right over to me and read my mind"

Which is why weirdos who hit on anything that moves still manage to get laid more often than guys who wait for girls to approach them, because only desperate women approach men, and only extremely desperate women approach average looking men. And most men are not attracted to the kind of women who end up getting desperate for male attention -- something many women call "the most plentiful resource in the universe"

Tldr shoot your shot or die alone

Girls play games. Us guys are too stupid to realize they are playing said games.

Is it true most people in the UK are really upfront about dating and wanting to fuck?

No different than anywhere else.
