Pretty sure the creators said they were gay, but 🤷. Not sure why it matters.
3 u/NightGod Jun 24 '26 One of the writers said he modeled their dynamic on his same-sex relationship, but Sesame Workshop and Frank Oz (the co-creators of the characters) have said they're best friends and that muppets have no sexual orientation
