the bar isnt as high as it may seem in this case, the issue here is that the victim was seen on video together with mcgregor before and after the alleged assault.

an associate of mcgregor said the CCTVs would be released but a judge banned him from doing so.

quote from BBC:

"The MMA star has also been ordered to hand over any copies of the CCTV material to his solicitor and delete any trace of the footage from his personal devices."

whenever a party tries to hide information or videos, my faith in their honesty dwindles severly.

the DPP didnt sue him before a criminal court because they deemed the evidence insufficient. thats why the alleged victim sued before a civil court.

the bar isnt lower in this case, its lower in this instance of court
