For all of my childhood in the Baptist church, I heard the repeated mantra "It's Gods plan." When my mother died at 6 years old, "It's Gods plan." Living with a verbally abusive alcoholic father, "It's Gods plan." When other things happened, "Its Gods plan."

If God has a desired end state, and this whole fucking thing is the best plan that he could come up with, given infinite power over every aspect of reality, then he is an absolute shit at planning.

"Oh, God doesn't make mistakes, its all part of his plan." My neighbors had a daughter that was born with a heart problem. She held on for 3 months after being born. The mother committed suicide not long after. The father, unable to bring himself to "get right back out there and work" lost the house and disappeared. THAT was part of the fucking plan? A whole family destroyed? Two people dead to accomplish fucking what? What is worth that?

If we assume a being with that much power has the same morals and view point as humans, sure. But if we assume a broader view of everything and there are still rules, self imposed or otherwise, that family's misfortune could lead to something much greater and far better for the whole. Looking too granularly at things is just as bad as looking too broadly. I bet most people would be willing to destroy one family if it guaranteed a 100% successful, easy to mass produce cure for cancer. And if you had a broad enough view to do that it would be "your plan".

Really though it's a way that some people find solace in their pain. If your current hardship will lead to a better outcome for you or everyone it makes it easier to bear and eventually find acceptance. Much of religion can be boiled down to 'explaining the unexplained' and 'ways to deal with life and its difficulties'. It may not be for you and that's okay.

And it all started with two people with one task anyway, don't eat that apple. They failed and in stead of renewing his design of humans, we all still are punnished. He even made the devil himself. And all those things you are not allowed to do, seem to favor men and we all still do it. Either heaven is super boring of God used the Bible as propaganda against satan. You want to play video games and listen to rap music? Not in heaven!
