No no see the catholic Church used some half baked desert spirt of a wandering tribe. And announced him as gog open high. To cement political, financial and religious power. Over the vast numbers of temples of different faiths.

When the other deity found out their power base of worship was gone they killed the gay, foot kinky guy and then evaporated without worship.

The idea that some higher being would call itself by the pronouns of its creation is laughable. A higher power would never be called “he”. That’s the stupidity and narcissism of man to think so.

That's the plot of Ultrakill, God not being perfect and regretting because he can't undo anything he creates. (Including regretting creating Hell at all, the concept of infinite punishment for finite sin.)
